I craft a lot, for profit and for myself, mostly tailoring and handicraft. My average crit rate on crafting is a pretty steady 20-25%. Of course you get the odd times where you have great luck and terrible luck, but on average I will crit 1 out of 4 or 5 things a large majority of the time.

I found this on Aions homepage:

The higher your DP, the better your chance of either critically healing or critically hitting
your intended target. Divine Points can also help improve your chance of creating a "Noble" variant of an item
while crafting. While there is always an element of chance in the creation of Noble items, think of your DP as helping you stack the deck subtly in your favor.

Wrong. DP doesn't affect anything.

I made 30 titanium daggers over the last 2 days. I swore I was going to get a blue.

First I got weaponsmithing up to 113 by work orders, till I got the Worthy Dagger recipe. Then I had to buy some flux, because this is serious output.

Run 1. 6 daggers. First proc was Noble. For the hell of it, I used it on a worthy recipe. No blue.

I then did some serious Titanium farming. My character went from 100 to 141 doing practically nothing but Titanium gathering.

Run 2. 10 daggers. 1st and 3rd proc'ed.

Run 3. 10 daggers. 3rd, 5th, and 6th proc'ed.

At this point, I have 5, 6/26 have proc'ed. But for completeness' sake, I wanted 30 daggers (A number deemed of statistical importance in statistics).

Run 4. 4 daggers. 1st proc'ed.

So now I sit with 6 Noble Titanium Daggers. I have enough HG materials, but I needed to go buy yet more flux, this time Worthy.

Worthy Titanium Daggers 5 and 6 proc'ed to Worthy Noble Titanium Daggers.

I'm out roughly 1.25 million (either legitimately or what I could have sold materials for), which I am hoping to more than recoup if my small armory sells.

When I made my worthy titanium armor+ shield, I did a total of 12 tries and I got a complete blue set (I know I used all my luck forever on that character). I started lvling weaponsmithing on an alt to have a shot at the worthy titanium sword, so far 12 attempts on the white --> green and no procs yet. It feels realy random, wich is ofcourse possible with a percentage based system but still...

To the earlier comments on DP affecting or not affecting crit chance:

Come to think of it I think I had full DP on my Armorsmith when doing the worthy armor pieces. My Weaponsmith hasn't even finished the starter area quest yet, so the amount of DP could have an impact using the above example. I'll test this more over the weekend.

Yeah, it's roughly 1 in 4.5 I'd say, but really spiky.

When you put mine in a row, I have gone 2 in 3, followed by 9 straight without a proc, followed by 3 in 4.

The Aion Homepage is a Wiki. A Korean Developer even commented and said that DP has nothing to do with the Proc Rate on crafting. I couldn't locate the interview here at work though.

Would love to see a source on that. My data shows very clearly the opposite, over about 70 or 80 trials (far fewer trials on the blue-crit, obviously).

How come you think that?
It does a lot for me... In battle, my crit rates goes up by ALOT, and when crafting it kinda makes sure I never go a 5 cycle without one green. Still happens sometimes, but very rarely. I always get 4k DP...

I really wanted to have 2 blue lvl 35 adamantium daggers.

So far I crafted 27 adamntium daggers of which 5 critted green, but none of those greens went blue.

DP or not, it's totally random.

Get full DP, check your stats. They don't increase. The whole wiki article is ********, saying DP increases HEALING crit chance etc.
Superstition, nothing more.

I have 40% procrate to greens and 20% procrate from green to blue. But seriously doubt its random because sometimes I get 5 greens in row and sometimes 10 whites in row. That feels very much against the laws of probability.

Might want to recheck your basics of probabilities.

Just because it's a very rare event does not mean it cannot happen.

From a probability point of view, you have an extremely low chance of winning the jackpot of a national lottery, yet sometimes someone gets all numbers right, even weirder, a bunch of people chose the exact same numbers on a particular week!

I never got more than 2 procs in a row, nor have I ever not obtained a proc on 10 attempts you were just lucky and unlucky during both events.

Well I don't feel it's a coincidence I got these proc and nonproc series. I also got 3 blue proc in row once. Say 40% proc chance for green then the chance to get a rush for 5 greens in row is 1% (multiplying 0,4 five times). Adding the other series of nonproc rushes I just can't take its random. Looks more it's to be crafting at the right time. Like the system has decided that right now we put in a bunch of procs based on some calculations in the game economy. If you craft at wrong time you get nothing.
