Chanters seems to be like BD/SwS/WC in Lineage2.
I've watched some vids about them. They've Party or AoE-Buffs (like OL). All surrounding Elyos/ Partymember getting Buffs from them. In one vid there you can see a note image for some buffs. I hope they getting buffs with effects like "Dance of Concentration" or so. So Chanters lvlnig very fast in nuker-partys. ^^ |

Chanters look pretty cool. I just hope their independant and are not strictly supporters. They seem like the class that people are going to shy away from. A good comparison would be the Guild Wars mesmer class.
They say it's for the player who likes a bit of everything so hopefully it will be interesting... |

I really like the idea, class seems so much cooler than druids, i just hope they dont turn out like loladins(damage paladins who don't do dmg xD)

from what i've seen the Chanter class is very WoW druid-ish. the jack-of-all trades who survives through his combination of skills rather than his one really powerful aspect. consequently this class will probably be VERY valuable in PvE and less so in PvP. that, of course, depends on how powerful the buffs are, how much impact they have in a pvp setting, and how much crowd control this class has. we have seen one AoE damage + knockdown spell that could come in quite handy in a PvP setting if the knockdown part works relatively consistently versus other players.
all in all a very interesting class... i'll have a hard time choosing chanter or straight healer at class transfer. ![]()

The seem more palyish than druidish imo.
Heals = Pally and Druid Powerfull buffs = Pally, cmon BoP BoF Might Wisdom Kings vs MOTW, buffs are where pallys rly shine Damage = Druids put a little more damage than pallys but they are both underpar. Quote:

MOTW is decent at best, the pally blessings are far superior though.
i would say, out of buffing classes. Pally>Shaman>Priest>Druid/Mage Last edited by Postiez; 10-15-2007 at 05:26 PM.. |

When I played WoW I played a druid as my main because I liked the range of things the druid was capable of. Was it the best at anything, no, not according to game logistics but when I was a raider only 1 priest in the guild could outheal me. I guess my decision in chanter/priest will come down to
1. how much fun a chanter is to play 2. wether or not with skilled gameplay it can match a priest in healing 3. how much fun a priest is to play pretty much it all came down to which class was more exciting and challenging, if they build the priest along typical lines, I won't be able to stick with it for very long, if they have a more innovative approach to priest class that will be my main. for now I'm probably going with the chanter |

For this particular argument I would hold that chanters more closely resemble druids, in their variety of purpose and lighter armor.
