Fighters usually are strong but slow, the dmg will be great, ut the time between swigs of your weapon will not be that much nice.

so i'm guessing Fighter isn't the tank in groups? they seem more like a DPS class? in some videos i have seen another class with a sword/shield and using agro abilities.. what class is that?
edit: ahh so knight = tank, fighter = dps?

I am wondering if the fighter is going to be the tank as well. We see in the videos that the fighter is indeed the main holder of hate in the party system, and you do in fact see the fighter use a skill allot like Provoke, enrage (Hate taking skill). Another thing I have seen is the fighter has the ability to use more then one weapon, such as a Great Sword, Sward/Shield combo (maybe even spear and or Dual Wield). Another thing that I am also wondering is, will Fighters/Melee's be the only ones to be able to use Skill Chains, or will there be such things as Magic Bursts (Mage Skill Chains)
EDIT: Scratch the Dual Wield/Great Sword, I just read the Fighters skills chart. ![]()

From what we've seen so far, yes. D:
But it does seem like they could also be used as a back-up tank, due to their armor and threat gaining abilities.

If yu ask me the point of the Fighter (future warrior) is to dps, and i know almost everyone that goes to that type of class hate to tank. Anyways usually it can be used as a backup tank once it has many equal skill the knight will hae, but as tank usually you need a healer around or the knight just die on the lack of def, they obviously will make the difference of be a knight and a warrior pretty much noticible. Your party will have more dmg output but less defense and the healer will have more work.
