Yeah, I was just gonna mention the thing about Aion's name missing from the commercial, but I'm glad so many other people pointed it out. It isn't a very effective commercial if no one knows what the product is called. >.> And Aion certainly isn't something as famous as WoW to the point where people would recognize it as soon as they saw some footage, assuming that this is an NA/EU ad and even Blizzard included their logo and a voice over for the game. It is a commercial for LG and not specifically for Aion but still, you'd think they'd throw in a tiny logo or something.

I'm really liking them so far. 2048x1152 resolution, 5ms response time, and 20,000:1 contrast ratio aint bad. I was originally leery about making the jump to 16:9, but almost all games are supporting 16:9 resolutions now, so it hasn't been an issue. Plus it just looks killer for Blu-rays, on the rare occasion that I actually decide to watch a Blu-Ray on my PC and not my home theatre.

It's amazing how much prices have come down on LCD monitors though. I remember even a few years ago...yikes.

I wonder who paid who here? Did NCSoft pay them to advertise their game in it, or did LG pay NCSoft to use their footage

The commercial is to sell the monitor. Aion being on there, but not being named is deliberate to not confuse the viewer what product is being sold.

Wonder how much NC paid to be in Sony's commercial...

I would imagine it was a mutual deal for both of them.. the monitor needed a game to look nice.. aion probably was happy to let them use theirs to help get the brand out. If one did have to pay the other I would hope ncsoft was smart enough to make LG pay as they got no mention, so were getting the shorter end of that stick imo

Some people mentioned that there was no mentioning of Aion in the commericial. But, that's not neccessarily a bad thing. It's like when you hear an awesome song on a car commerical and you start searching for that song and what not. You actually end up learning more about the thing then if they just gave you the song name.

So people are going to start asking questions about the epic game they saw on the LG commercial and we can educate them for a more informed gamer base.

Good to see some publicity, not to mention it's damn good publicity. That commercial was really well done. Wish they would have advertised the name of the game a bit more though so people would Google it :/
