It's a petunia and not a whale. At any rate, we've been getting a few different questions over and over and so I wanted to cover this in one thread for people to read. All information was obtained from the Gameforge CM BlackVelvet.
- The website doesn't look secure. Should I login to it? The answer at the moment appears to be that the website is not secure, so don't login to it. If you must login on the website, then make sure you're on a private network so that the chance of another person potentially getting your information is minimized. We have communication in with Gameforge that this needs to be fixed ASAP.
- I signed up, but my validation email doesn't seem to be arriving? This has been partially fixed, but there are still some issues. Please be patient as they are working on it.
- What do I do if I forgot to opt into the move? There is a post-launch opt in that NCsoft has said they'll offer to people. However, the late transfers will tend to take a few days to process, so don't expect immediate results.
- I joined the new UK server Munin. Why is everybody speaking German? Well, it's because you've got some old out-of-date server name information and you're on the new German server instead of the new English server. You need to follow the instructions in our thread on the subject to fix it. If you have the wrong L10N folder you also apparently get the Korean store when clicking on the in game store.
- I am a veteran and logged in. I have 0 coins, but I should have more. What's up? Gameforge is still dealing with technical issues and other issues related to post-launch. The conversion of coins is going to occur later. We don't yet have the conversion date, but maybe later in the week as other stuff calms down.
- This download is stuck or taking forever, what should I do? Wait or try tomorrow. There's just a nyerk load of people trying to get the download right now and things are over capacity.
- I'm having login problems on the website, what should I do? It is only possible to login your account on the website with small letters. If you have an account containing Upper case letters, please write them in Lower case. This is not intended and will be fixed as well.
- I am having technical issue X and need help. What should I do? You can try asking your question here on AionSource and we will do our best to answer. If we have no clue, Gameforge is just getting customer support set up and so expect things to be rocky, but we do have a site for them: http://aion-en.custhelp.com/

Since 4 days no updates nothing. It looks like they care even less than ncsoft. Didnt get your coins? Write a ticket and buy from new, so u pay twice and have to wait weeks for an answer on your ticket. You didnt get your ncsoft gametime converted to coins? Np! Buy coins and wait for your ticket answer to get the coins that u deserved.
Not gonna loose any word about this pice of joke called "Forum" that they put up.
I didnt think that a company can be worse than funcom with AoC but this nyerk is absolutely a failtrain.
Btw: Customerfriendly lesson one: If some1 has a problem that u KNOW about (i.e. not getting gold packs but loosing coins) dont nyerk around with ur stupid automatic answers and give the ppl their stuff.
Lesson two: Its important how u behave after a release. And they behave like the greatest morons on earth. I so hate publishers from germany (yes my own country). Lazy ignorant - and only profit oriented. Dumbasses. Destroying this game in 2 weeks. Even NCsoft west needed 2,5 years.
I do feel they should be informing the player and customer base a lot more on daily really in this transitional period if nothing more but to at least seem like they care and are trying to resolve the issues.
I for one will not use thier shop at this time because of it being unsecure and would tell this to anyone wishing to purchase anything from them till this is resolved.
On the moderator issue i have to agree they seem very unprofessional in a lot of cases and it feels like they think the player base is either stupid or just think it is a joke.

Mm well i got the things from my vet reward like epxand warehouse that dont work anymore ..iam kinda wondering indeed about the website too no security. My other question too when u still have the aion magazine is there a way to add those items or just cancel my sub on it completly. Atm u get a tiny bit of news but so far it feels more like a complete hold off on any news.

Gameforge is the greatest joke on earth. Its awesome. Didnt i say that they will be even worse than ncsoft? When ppl fanboyed them. Its hillarious. You cant change your chars in the shop when u have 2 chars with the same name on 1 account (f.e. on different servers)... [/quote]
The vast majority of players have no issue, or only very minor ones (like having "unknownitem" instead of EXP notifications), and the daily lag at peak hours I had with NCWest since nearly a year is gone. That by itself is already enough to put GF above NCWest.
From my point of view (no problems at all) I can just say it's really cool. I didn't spent one € and got gold-status for 6 months and really enjoining it. If you level up a toon you'll have even more fun. Everything is so populated lately. Ok Baluera is still lacking some people but they will be there eventually.
As for the perfomance, the laggs around 19-22 o'clock are gone but the ping is a bit higher (30 in populated zones, 20 empty ones).

Update: Received a mail from Gameforge telling that the issue was solved and another one with a validation link... And it worked!
I don't know if it was a solution to my ticket or a solution for every impacted player, but I suspect the group solution.
Nickname stealing : NCsoft did something about it when they fused servers, on the new GF servers, a lot of people had their nickname owned on lv 1 char just to prevent them to use it, they'll do something or I can gtfo ?

The website has not changed and still isn't forwarding to ssl for logging in.

yeah, I don't get it either. The annoying thing is that if you use the https version of the site, it immediately loads you back into http after logging in. Which probably isn't the best way to do things.
