Lost Faith with NCsoft... through the hackings and the absolute despair of failing hhom so many times... so many hours gone to waste.... hell even the lack of black and white and red dyes.... in a game where graphics and customisation are it's focal point...


I guess this all trickles down just the same as any other thread in this forum section (apart from maybe.. 2,3 threads?)... I lost faith in NCsoft, being a player who played a sorcerer and uploaded many many video's onto youtube of my pvping and pvp tips and etc... NCwest's late release was a kick to the face... shocking almost... now the lack of "westernisation" is a pity..

1.)-Level grind is still the same as it was before, you cannot throw lodas amulets at people and expect them to be happy... 9 hour cooldown and a limited item... maybe if you made the exp cap per mob / quest raised by 20% at the moment it would be solid... or even lowered the grind bars by 20% less exp required for a ding.. that would work but let's face it this issue has STILL not been adressed.. you cannot offer double exp weekends (which I admit I have enoyed myself) and cram players into a tight knit space and expect them to be happy... then return it to the normal grind and have players right back into the same bowl of soup "grind".

2.)-Fortresses, these are still a mess... yes the crash error was fixed and kudos for that but the timers were changed and that basically turned everyone off of them.. I realise that a vote was given out... but let's be honest here... should a vote even be taken on something so blatently obvious? Yustiel at its present stance cannot even take a upper fort in TWO HOURS... now with more and more players jumping ship and more saying screw fortresses a gold medal is worth nothing... Fortresses are dead and unrewarding anymore.

At least artifacts don't limit your blood farming! And at least you can run to a artifact to escape being ganked!!! Fortresses? Holding them is useless and stunts the ability to farm bloods there.. it is the EXACT OPPOSITE effect of rewarding.. it punishes those who farm bloods.


3.)- Hot Heart of Magic... the biggest reason I have quit.. the number one reason I have completely and 100% turned from loving this game inside and out to absolutely wanting to break my laptop when I hear that bloody login screen music... the same music I ironically would listen too for hours before release!

Know what? I am one hell of an active player.. I have my own fansite where I post updates and guides of my own work and I have a personal fanbase of approximately 80-90 casual/active players.... allot more then most can say. Also beyond that I am a respected member in Yustiels community and in these forums as well. I have credentials out my *** for a mmo player.. former moderator (VOLUNTEER) who dealt 1 on 1 with bans/hacks/scams/rerolls (often scam and reroll go hand in hand, lol+) and other customer service... I have played at LEAST 20 mmo's including silk road, rf online, conquer, runescape the bloody worst credential to write, Lord of the rigns online... daoc, WoW (incoming flames, right? Was a warlock pre-Burning crusade!), requiem... and allot more but I don't want to be boring and just get REAL Tl;Dr's, I like the fake ones cause they are obvious troll attempts.

Why do you think I believe HHOM is utter bunk?:

-I was the TOP level on Yustiel, second only (at times) to Yuzu on the server... I began grinding fort guards at level 45.
-I also had my own legion; this legion was primarily comprised of 10 members and we held rank 1 for weeks into the server until nexus with a signifigantly higher member count surpassed us and we became number 2... with 10 people. I think I know what hardcore and a effective leader is BY NOW.
-I recieved the first paralyze godstone drop and first earths wrath... ontop of that I had poured within the first month of aion over 10 million of my own kinah into craftable items for my legion members to access. I was wealthy and successful here as well, I even sold a perer aether jelly recipe to a friend for only 5million at the start of the server.... (would have given but they insisted). I am far from devoid of charity!

Yet I STILL don't have HHOM? Excuse me?... As more and more people get the HHOM the more and more I shake my head at it.. RNG is a load of garbage. I have been decided to be thrown in the trash as a player and discluded from: dredgion, dark poeta and other events (HAVEN'T GOTTEN A DARK POETA GROUP PAST RANK B FOR A SOLID MONTH NOW). Why? Cause no one accepts a person below full miragents into a dark poeta group! Heaven forbid me being in a Rank A static a month ago and doing over 30 successful runs.. Oh yes by the way I -DO- have anuharts orb AND gloves... smiely face... with a wink? ;) BEFORE MIRAGENT PANTS. Now I can't get a group for anything? The game broke for me as soon as my lack of a crit in HHOM dictated that I was unworthy to join ANY endgame content.. no raids, no dredg, no dark poeta... tell me what is there other then that? Rifting in Belusian with the only two rifts that pop up as rare as a blue moon? Only to gank lowbies and be ganked by a zerg myself? No thanks! That is NOT endgame.

4.) Class balance.

I advise you to not even POST spiritmaster's are overpowered. Anyone that says that is either heavily undergeared or a adolescent chimp because NOT EVEN AN ADULT CHIMP would be so brain dead as to not know how to GIMP us in PvP.


*Flying pets: recent addition, too little too late... class was broken before then and even now that the pets fly my spirits cant even keep up with me for 10 seconds (speaking of wind spirit) as I fly w/o a speedscroll in the air.. LAWL.

*Debuff limit:

SORRY, once more, I LIKE TO BE ABLE TO GROUP WITH OTHER CLASSES.. HELLOOOOO... ANYONE EVER HEARD OF A PARTY HERE?

Chanters and me don't mix.. no... any class and me don't mix because why? Cause they knock off all of my DoT and curse spells and leave me useless.. I have HUGE damage when they stay on.. but no we have templars using weakening blow and rangers spamming silence arrow (the fucking hell silence arrow on melle mobs, fucking annoying) and goodluck to me who has the ONLY DAMAGE THAT SCALES knocked off in less then 2 seconds.

*Debuffs don't stack.

Sorry but classes should be able to stack.. there is such a thing as more then one spiritmaster going to a fucking fort raid.. or was that ncsoft's goal to weed everyone off of this class unless they have some sort of sexual pet fetish? There is no excuse for them not to stack, no excuse PERIOD. You CAN NOT justify them not stacking. It is a BROKEN MECHANIC.

*Debuffs? Hello isn't a spiritmaster a control class?

Where are our debuffs? We get one adv stigma that does debuffs.. slowing shackles.. where is my mana drain, lower attack debuff, lower defence debuff, lower cast speed debuff... give me soemthing other then some grotesquely overpowered debuff combination tack on ******** stigma. But then again NCsoft did that with bodyroot and silence and ignite aether... OH WAIT those are the THREE PVP STIGMAS A SPIRITMASTER NEEDS OR NO PVP GROUP WILL TAKE THEM. Geez, the mistakes REALLY showin now.

*Flight PvP,

You melle crybabies say you have it BAD? Take a fucking seat and I'll tell you about spiritmasters.

-5 minuite cooldown instant fear, one of the only TWO fears viable in flight pvp... lasts 6-8 seconds (not really that long in game since spiritmasters are like sorcerers and casting time reliant.. ;) )

-30 second cooldown fear... the 2nd of the only TWO fears viable in flight pvp... lasts 6-8 seconds.. same deal.

-Fear shriek... you mean that stigma that sells for 14m+ on some servers? Gee... let's see it casts and hits whatever is qwithin 15m range of it.. sorry to say but in flight PvP even casting this spell is asking for a pointless event.. it will cast even if target is out of range.. a.k.a. useless..

Grand beheader of all spiritmasters? Oh gee lets think...



Maybe the fact you go zipping off at a speed > 16.0 in flight.. especially with a flightspeed scroll?! Fear in flight PvP is simply a tool to let the opponent escape from you.. this is as you can probably figure out yourself... VERY ;) effective in flighting clerics. (If you are aiming to let them ride all over you!).

Oh and wingroot was nerfed so thats another trash skill.

-I DIDN'T like the idea of getting PLAYER VS. PLAYER points from farming guards in K-Aion and I DO NOT LIKE IT HERE EITHER.

System that contradicts itself is riddiculous!

Also I want to add.. I want more oppertunities for pvp... add battle grounds... events... ANYTHING... there is so little pvp and I REALLY do NOT consider "GANKING" to be PvP. I REALLY DO NOT. If I wanted to fight undergeared and under leveled opponents... well I think we can have a simple game of PAPER RPG for that. COOL STORY BRO? U HAZ 800 HP AND I HAZ 1900 LOLOLOL I HIT YOU FOR OVER 9000 BRO LOLOLOL. *does rock hand sign*

6.) Hacks, and customer service... intimidating.

That says it all in itself.. my fiance was hacked and I thank the lord he got it back promptly.. which did ease my stress and helped raise my level of trust with NCsoft.. but he still doesn't have items back and those items had a major impact on my own.. that was allot of money and allot of items the hacker obliterated... not enough for me to shrug off! This isn't even going into how a user posted a gm reply and I myself didn't recieve it.. but I felt threatened and like I was being put to blame.. it was ... intimidating. This isn't even going into how many of my friends are unlucky and are still yet to recieve even a response from a GM regarding their account.. or the friends of mine who got their account backed got reported for botting when the hacker had it and then were promtly perma-banned. Yeah... intimidating.

7.) "Gm activity"

I know many account traders on Yustiel.. the most common one being Zeldent that 90% of the server knows has been sold by the original owner to a new one.. and then that new owner sold it to a new one... WHERE THE HELL are the gm's?! Or does 3 COMPLETELY UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT SETS OF INFORMATION NOT SEND A MESSAGE TO YOU THE ACCOUNT WAS BEING TRADED LIKE A CUMBUCKET.

And you wonder why hackers are so rampant? This is probably a good source to start!

THESE ISSUES HAVE BEEN POSTED EVERYWHERE I CAN IMAGINE, AIONSOURCE, YOUR OWN HACKED TO CRAP FORUMS, MY SITE, E-MAILS, ANY FANSITE, EVEN WOW'S FORUMS!

The lack of initiative from NCwest has me appauled, no company... NO COMPANY HAS EVER been given more FEEDBACK, COMMITMENT, LOYAL PLAYERS and done as LITTLE as NCsoft has with the information...

I am appauled... so many games go and die out due to lack of feedback and lack of communication... and yet you have a game with a strong enough player base to respond actively and commit more feedback then you ever could dream of? Worst part is it all flows with itself... these are common issues that can be seen within the first page of aionsource!!! HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO INTAKE THIS INFORMATION!

I am purely.. 100% mind blown.. 100%.


I love Aion and NCsoft really has impressed me before in the past but I am going to take a break from Aion... hopefully sme of these issues will be adressed... but at the moment the game to me is: restrictively based on RNG... and this RNG decides if you are "worthy" to play and join in endgame content, aggrivating because you can only really gain AP through PvE farming, the drop rates are horrible, only the miragents/pvp gear is viable for endgame... the quest item gear set almost doubles the potentcy of the craftable 50 balic!, and yeah... just ... I play a game for fun not a job.. I want to relax and enjoy my time. If it wasn't for my friends who were really into this game I don't know if I would have lasted longer...


Until there is a change, with I hope NCsoft will do... to resolve these problems.. even just a few..

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat as you..or rather was. I'm actually kinda doing this the opposite way though.

I started Aion as a cleric and got to 37 before quitting. I was gone for about a month and noticed on aiononline that all my stuff got stolen, but since I was already unsubscribed I was just mildly pissed and didn't really care, but still submitted a ticket anyway. I got all my stuff back within 2 weeks timing (which would've killed me had I been a regular player).

Ironically, even after the hacking, I've decided to come back as (surprise!) a spiritmaster. I can tell you now though, that spiritmasters kicked my *** all over the field as a cleric and I'm pretty decent at pvp. Not that it would've been easy for them, but even in a group of two, spiritmasters are insane! Unless they have changed that somewhat since I've been gone.

I'm HOPING that after another month or two of solid play getting back to 37'ish, that NC soft will fix some of this stuff and maybe even add some of the promised material from the 'visions' trailer.

Worst part is it all flows with itself... these are common issues that can be seen within the first page of aionsource!!! HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO INTAKE THIS INFORMATION!

I love Aion and NCsoft really has impressed me before in the past but I am going to take a break from Aion... hopefully sme of these issues will be adressed... but at the moment the game to me is: restrictively based on RNG... and this RNG decides if you are "worthy" to play and join in endgame content, aggrivating because you can only really gain AP through PvE farming, the drop rates are horrible, only the miragents/pvp gear is viable for endgame... the quest item gear set almost doubles the potentcy of the craftable 50 balic!, and yeah... just ... I play a game for fun not a job.. I want to relax and enjoy my time. If it wasn't for my friends who were really into this game I don't know if I would have lasted longer...


Until there is a change, with I hope NCsoft will do... to resolve these problems.. even just a few..

I started Aion as a cleric and got to 37 before quitting. I was gone for about a month and noticed on aiononline that all my stuff got stolen, but since I was already unsubscribed I was just mildly pissed and didn't really care, but still submitted a ticket anyway. I got all my stuff back within 2 weeks timing (which would've killed me had I been a regular player).

Ironically, even after the hacking, I've decided to come back as (surprise!) a spiritmaster. I can tell you now though, that spiritmasters kicked my *** all over the field as a cleric and I'm pretty decent at pvp. Not that it would've been easy for them, but even in a group of two, spiritmasters are insane! Unless they have changed that somewhat since I've been gone.

I'm HOPING that after another month or two of solid play getting back to 37'ish, that NC soft will fix some of this stuff and maybe even add some of the promised material from the 'visions' trailer.

Well spiritmasters are amasing when they are undergeared... but even get half decent gear and then you really begin to notice you don't scale and people outlast a chain control and yeah... you are basically tied to a party.. which ironically wipes out your DoT's. It's sort of a win-lose situation... :sigh:

While i agree the RNG is garbage a lot of this is your own fault for being so absolutely obsessed with a set of gear. Though you could call me a hypocrite because I am wearing the set, but really the fact is the Anuhart is pretty damn good and i believe you yourself said you already have the wep from A rank and some pieces of the gear. 14 tries or whatever lol, it didn't occur to you to sell that and make hundreds of millions at some point?? I am no where near your attempts (it took me twice) and the first fail really did make me not want to log in for a good couple of weeks. I can't even fathom putting all that time and effort you have for a video game man. Go get drunk and do some blow off a stripper.

Normally if I have to use my scroll button to read a post I don't.. But I did read this one. I agree with some of the things you said.

My opinion is; screaming at NCsoft West is a waste of time, they have absolutely no power or resources to do anything. Tamat and Ayase have pretty much confirmed that they are not even in the loop when it comes to NCsoft Korea's plans for Aion.

It's been said dozens of times and it is finally sinking in for me as well. NA/EU are not NCsoft's target audience, they gave us the game they have and if we like it fine if not that's fine too. They have already made about as much money from us as they had hoped and are more than willing to let us move on.

NCsoft West is nothing more than the figurative Dutch Boy trying to hold back the dam with their fingers while more leaks spring up around them. The flood they're trying to prevent is the mass exodus of players as one by one we each figure out for ourselves that this development team does not give two cents for our opinion.

I am giving the game a few more months. I have been wrong before - like that time I thought I was wrong but found out I wasn't. But as each "Eye on the Community" and Community Address comes out each saying nothing but repeated promises that something is being worked on. It becomes more and more apparent. I am wasting my time and money on this game.

So I guess I am in for another $45.00 and then I will throw this game on the heap of what could have beens that preceded it.

What made me lose all hope was the silence.

I can handle the game not being perfect, hell I played WAR for 1 year, so I can handle the game actually being quite crappy as long as I see potential, but what I can't handle is this utter lack of any sort of communication. I agree on all issues OP brings up, Aion really have a big bunch of problems, and they gotta deal with em or crash and burn (at least here in the west), but this drawn out silence just kills any hope that they will actually address them.

Reluctantly I've more and more starting to believe, as many others, that the whole Aion release was just a quick cashgrab without any sort of longterm plan from NCSoft. There's just to much that points toward that direction - the nonexisting CS and GM presence (esp. in EU), the complete lack of information of upcoming changes or directions Aion will take, that NCWest didn't even know that the solarius patch also came with fort timer changes and flying SM pets, that serious localization bugs still haven't gotten fixed (DP 5 scale entry, kysis, etc) and no word on them, the craptastic official website, and more that I probably forgot.

It just looks like NCWest is run by a skeleton crew that hardly keep the ship floating while being almost completely neglected by the main company, all to maximize quick profit from box sales and then they don't care.

i came from l2 and yes aion blows in my eyes but not in pve nor in quest nor in instances
because l2 was way worse in pve grinding wise the l2 didnt even had quest givin u xp and if it did it was most likely 1 or 2 mobs then u would have had more xp then quest would give u and quest would ask u to kill 100's of mobs
instances l2 had instances with boss waitin for u at the end? with a amazing chance to drop something nice? no l2 didnt had that as far i know never had a instances apart from crappy **** u need to solo which takes 5 mins and u can never enter again

only thing which sucks in aion is pvp because of ****** WASD movement cus of lol jumping cus of lol flyin and gliding and cus of classes not havin enough speed advantage over the other
cleric/chanter should be slow as fuck
templar/glads should not be much faster then a cleric/chanter
sorc/sm should be somewhat fast
ranger/sin should out run anything without havin to pop sprinting or w/e skill which isnt the case in aion every1 is equal yet the damage between the classes isnt equal

so at the end only pvp is somewhat wrong when im lookin at abyss
rift can still be fun sometimes or most likely most of the time

Thou i will newer agree that Aion = grind . Getting char 1-50 in 1 month while working is just retarded easy .
Fear shreek 10mil ++ so what ? Focused shots and Recovery costs also insane money etc etc

Fear as it's now = fail .... it's just isn't competition . You could be best player in Aion stil under fear you can't do anything and that's just eint competitive PvP. Sleep ok you get hit you wake up , Tree ok you get hit you transform back etc etc .

No one cares if you don't think it's a grind because you spent years poopsocking in some cash shop game or L2 McFreeServer with increased exp/drop rates.

Aion is boring and grindy to the vast majority of people who played. As a consequence, they have quit and no longer play. I'm not thinking about myself when I call it a grind. I have the time to sit down and play games. This game has just turned into yet another hyped MMO that I find myself and only myself playing out of dozens of friends I started off with, in a legion/alliance that's probably lost over 30 geared level 50's, over half of which I can name off as hacked or sold accounts.

It's extremely saddening to read supposed fans of the game would rather have it fail, never change, never attract more players while subscriptions dwindle faster than they're replaced.
