As the title says my fellow Gladiators and even Templars/Chanters many of our skills and our second Tree of Stigmas even the new Advanced stigma requires Parry to proc and will surely would play the second tree if i could make use from the Stigmas
and the Templars loose many skills that need Block to proc.....

So what do you say???
We don't care about damage reduction if that is the problem we just need them to proc so we can use them in both PvE and PvP
but mostly in PvP because even magical attack mobs do some physical damage time to time but in PvP they are worthless against magical attackers.

Ofc i would like to see block proc on magic att. I myself don't like at all fact that Templar needs to use GS .

But i would more like to hear first a reasonable explenation why it was decided by game developers not to have block proc on magic att .... why they made such decision?

For me it seems it's seperated to half (when half skills works on half classes) this sure does make magical attackers far superior (they can use all skills not half) against melee.
Even with the enchantments on gear it only adds + Physical defence and it should + evasion and magical Defence too but this is something else to discuss.......

I don't mind fact that i take full DMG from caster class it even makes kinda sense , but loosing several skills isn't correct .

Shields really should be able to block off magic attacks. I can't understand why they didn't make it so ;/

Very few skills exist that glads posses that trigger on anything. Vengeful and shield bash, are the only two that come to mind actually.

Temps have it worse though.

Vengeful Strike IV - Skills - Aion Parry trigger ****Stigma****

Spite Strike I - Skills - Aion Parry trigger ****Advanced Stigma****

Wall of Steel I - Skills - Aion Parry Defence Normal Skill

My point is that we get 2 stigmas on the second tree that can't be used against magical attacks and we also loose all of this skills
when we follow that tree that is Dual Wield tree(that was the purpose as they said).

Seismic Billow II - Skills - Aion 10% AoE proc Skill

Shock Wave II - Skills - Aion AoE skill

Gladiator - Skills - Aion AoE skill

Seismic Wave III - Skills - Aion AoE Skill

Piercing Wave I - Skills - Aion And might Asmodian also loose this not sure.

Parry stigmas???
To many to loose don't you say?

I'd be fairly happy, if shield skills would not need a proc, and have the same or worse CD than Shield Counter.

Some templars even provoke Cockroaches, Kukus or low level mobs to proc Shield skills =/

I actually had a long discussion about this. There is no reason that evasion, parry, and block should not work on magic damage. To be honest, magic resist can completely get taken out of the game and using this mechanic they could nullify some of the massive damage casters put out forcing them to actually learn to kite melee instead of either outdamaging or cc'ing to death.

There are just to many class mechanics are don't hold up against the ranged classes. If this were true then we might see a little more diversity in builds where parry/block/evasion become useful manastones to slot and accurracy actually has its place.

I second the sentiment of this thread.

Nobody worth his salt will socket parry or evasion, AND THIS IS WHY.

If parry/block/evasion procced against all classes, and not just 5/8, they'd actually be viable alternatives to simply stacking crit and attack 'til the cows come home!
