easy, in ncsoft launcher extra command line box (aion > properties), enter:

-DEVMODE "g_chatlog 1"

In the NCSoft launcher, right click Aion and choose properties. In the 'Extra Commmand Line Parameter (Advanced)' box, put:

-DEVMODE "g_chatlog 1"

Even if u put it to work, I just runned some tests, and it seems NCsoft changed the message for critical hits with skills, so KDM no longer recognizes them, so everytime you crit a skill it dont even count you attacked or used that skill at all, making it pretty much useless for a dps metric tool...

The change isnt big, back at 2.4 (actually, 2.3, I didint play during 2.4), a critical hit from a skill wouldnt print to the log as critical, it would print as a skill, that hitted, for X amount of damage. The only diference now is that it prints a "Critical Hit!" on the msgs begginig. Ex:

Old

2011.01.06 01:14:12 : You inflicted 1.490 damage on Training Dummy by using Body Smash III. 

New

2011.06.07 08:15:25 : Critical Hit!You inflicted 1.472 damage on Training Dummy by using Body Smash III. 

We would need someone with the source code and the knowledge to put it back together, and judging by the size of Aions community nowdays, not sure its happening.

sad that they killed the log and closed the door for kdm and another program, i really hope they make a legal way to get the log....

I'm making a new parser myself to replace KDM, since it no longer registers skill crits, and caster dots were always messed up to start with. ill post in this section when ready, working on the dots at the moment Also has some log features to strip whispers/chat and such into separate windows.
