Hi Everyone,

I wanted to keep you guys posted on where I'm at with the community report. Overall the report addresses the concerns of those here (AionSource) and other Aion community sites across NA/EU. I have quoted comments, feedback, suggestions and included the results of the various polls (i.e. Does NCsoft care about us?). I have also included a lengthy editorial on how the lack of news has affected the community (particularly morale and excitement for the game).

Today, I met with Aion's Executive Producer, Producer, and Franchise Manager - we discussed the report in great detail. They understand that regardless of what we can/can not say, we must address these concerns. Saying nothing can't be an option right now.

I'm not promising the announcement of a launch date - but I'm trying my best to get more information (something that isn't "we can't tell you anything right now").

Long story short - the report has been seen (and heard). It will take a few days to compile/confirm management's responses but my goal is to have an official update on the website by end-of-day Wednesday.

I'll post again tomorrow to confirm that we're still on track to having an update by Wednesday.

That said, I don't know if I would play AION or any NCSoft products regardless anymore at this point. Your company has dropped the ball a few too many times to really be worth any serious consideration for the time being.

I suppose this may be too little too late for a lot of people. But at least you seem to be making an honest effort Liv. Hopefully something actually comes of this other than some standard corporate mumbo jumbo. Here"s hoping.

People are really not asking for much. If that same Q4 data and the recent restructuring was presented with a clarification and a confirmation from the localization teams that they are still working on Aion, people would have been ten times more tolerant than the way NCsoft handled it now.

Well Liv, understandably at this point people will be skeptical as to how much this report will really tell us, and naturally a case of 'shooting the messenger' could invariably break out. However, your willingness to try and appease the playerbase, despite the odds, is at the very least refreshing in a sea of shaky second-hand info from third-party sources.

Best of luck in coming up with something that won't exacerbate the negative feelings towards NCSoft further.

I was just telling people on the other "this game is doomed" threads not to lose hope, and wait for something like this.

I get flamed to hell and back.

Hopefully they can ball park when the release will be, even if it is in Q4.

Which would make people sad pandas, but it's something.

Liv doesn't need good luck. Liv needs a flame retardant flak jacket made of high density dragon's teeth wound with kevlar.

Or Mercury's sandals.

it isnt fair to you that you got thrown into this mess your first week, but at the same time, it is your job and your responsibility to inform the playerbase of the happenings and goings-on, so i dont feel it would be fair to the rest of the community to pull punches.

anything short of a solid, carved in stone release date and announcement of preview events is total and utter failure on the part on NCSoft, and you as the new representative of said community.

if this sounds harsh i do apologize, but we can only take so much before we decide we're fed up, lose all faith in NCSoft, and go find another game.
