Dam looks like fail safe will be very expensive 60M for just one of the mats needed. Guess we will have to see if it is much easier to make money in 2.0

some of the stuff for the fail safe masterwork quest is pricey alright!! This is exactly what we've been asking for which is great - a horridly expensive but SAFE way to get these damn quests done.

I go the site as well. the links they provided are seem to go to a general korea mmo site (with other current and soon to be released mmos). the info seems valid to me.

On the korean PTS people are leveling up theyr crafting skills to 499p. With the increased XP & Droprates (4.5x than normal) on the PTS it iscurrently not that much of a problem to get to 499p. Once Aion 1.9 will go live things gonna lock different, due to the normal XP & Droprate.

So does this mean that droprates are still gonna be crap when 1.9 is implemented?

I would like some clarification if anyone has it: we can freely raise our skill from 449 to 499 without a quest, right?

And is the 499 master quest requiring us to make a level 50 blue -> yellow crit or is it a lvl 55 weapon?

It is my understanding that the 1.9 patch makes 51+ recipes available in game, and other recipes that include ingredients that can only be accessed in 2.0 zones. Remember, 1.9 was designed to be a pre-patch, with very short downtime between it and 2.0.

according to the info out there,

lvl 50 remains the level cap till 2.0

you need a master quest to get to 450 - then you're free to level to 499

some level 55 stuff probably is coming in 1.9, but the materials may not be available as we won't be able to access the zones that drop them.

Like what mats are needed to make the cast scrolls, where they drop and what other designs are going to be coming with 1.9. Major healing pots maybe?

Is there a Korean database that can be translated for the new designs?

There's also no real way to hit 490 at this point anyways. Not unless you can find a 450+ craft that can actually be made right now. No craftable 450+ rec from the NPC vendor at least.
