Bad news I'm afraid.

Free Character Transfers Rescheduled

Greetings Daevas,

Following the recent Aion server merges, we wanted to offer a free character transfer service to give everyone a chance to play with friends located on different servers. One of our responsibilities is to provide balanced servers for you to play on. To work towards a more enjoyable play
experience we’ve decided to suspend character transfers in order to re-evaluate our strategy for server balance. Once we’ve finalized our
new strategy, we will again re-enable free server transfers, however with certain limitations to prevent an excessive amount of transfers
that specifically contributed to server imbalance.

Because of our decision to suspend transfers, we will be issuing the first wave of Fight on the Right Side rewards to all active players, regardless of race conflict status.

Race balance is something that we take extremely seriously and we are committed to creating an exciting environment for all of you to enjoy.
We’ve been listening to your suggestions in the forums and are considering all options available to us in order to achieve consistency in race balance across all servers. Please bear with us as we continue our work to address your concerns.

So, no more transfers for the forseeable future. Don't worry, I'm sure they'll be back soon.

Fingers crossed we can see some balancing of the servers now. At least they know there is a problem with balance now. Admitting is the first step.

I think this is a good call. Too bad some legions might be split up now due to some members already being transfered and other stuck behind because transfers are no longer possible.

I just want to remind that NCWest did say (somewhere, in a forum post of course, cannot find it again) that they would be monitoring server balance after the each transfer and decide what to allow or not allow based on the numbers.

The fact they weren't ready to do it for this transfer wave means they probably didn't do it yet but at least, they knew they might need to restrict transfers at the time.

Already i've read on AS and the main site of people saying they're unsubbing because of this solo action.

Want balance, NCsoft? Stop making people unsubscribe to stupid actions like the Merger.

im loling, becuz 3 of my friends has done a transfer by error, and petition to cancel transgfer ticket (before transfer has been done) and GMs told they cant cancel transfer, and they hoped to go back to spatalos today to continue play with friends and now they cant lololotrlolol..

Your riends could cancel the ticket easily by joining a legion before maintainance though

Well, the merge script would fail for them if any of the required conditions would not be fullfiled I heard. Well, maybe they were overprotective for joined legion but a few items on the broker would surely cause the script to fail for them :p

3/4 of server already left dumb nyerks. I don't want to play for 1-2 or more weeks(until you geniuses figure it out) on a DEAD server(at least dead asmo side). Server balance is already nyerked up. Why don't you let me goooo!? Tell people that this week's free transfers will be last until you figure it out and than reschedule whatever you want. But what the nyerk is this telling people they can't transfer on the day of transfer. Are you really such imbeciles or are you deliberately trying to piss people off?!

Oh, and it is a great accomplishment by your standards that you have seen free transfers damage server balance after you let it happen and asmo population in my server became like 1/4 of what it was BEFORE the merge.

Was that so hard to foresee?!

I have difficulty finding the right insult words for NCWest managers.

Actually he is right, transfer will fail if you are in one Guild or if you have itens in the broker.

They have no clue what they are doing, server merges alone prove this!

Server Merges:

NcSoft: Don't make any plans just merge together two servers regardless of balance and nyerk up each merged server in the process.

Anyone with more than 3 brain cells: Move inactive accounts of more than 30 days to a holding server, then establish actual playing populace on each server, establish player levels 10-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50 and then merge 3 equivilant servers into 1 thus creating a server equal populace relating to playing active accounts & balanced level populace.

Free transfers:

NcSoft: We will allow frree transfers because we said we will allow them 7 months ago, yeah server merges just happened but meh who cares.

Anyone with IQ higher than a glass of water: Free transfers are needed but let's wait 4 weeks and allow the populace to settle, then introduce free transfer system with RESTRICTIONS on how many can transfer to each server and from each server.

Initial Game Launch

NcSoft: Just launch the nyerker and we will see what happens, lag etc.. doesn't matter ppl will put up with it

Amoeba living on piece of lichen under a rock: WHoa wait a minutem, we have the 1.5 client that we are launching with, we need to make sure the game is EQUAL for both sides, that all the quests are working and that the servers are stress tested before we launch.

Maybe NcSoft should actually plan rather than do everything kneejerk, be pro-active no reactive and most of all actually ply the nyerking game so they have a clue what they are doing rather than nyerking everyone over week after week with their useless nyerking pathetic attempts at running a game they simply have no conception what they are working with.

After this maintainence, i might just quit and come back either when 2.0 comes out or when tranfers are back so I can go to Telemachus (Gasp! Oh nyerk! not Perento?!)

That's IF NCsoft fixes this. Highly doubtful.

Even though I am very dissapointed with the fail move that NCfail did, I admit that is something that was afraid that would happen when I read everywhere about mass trasfer syndrome. Saddly this is gonna ruin the game for a lot of ppl Gz to them :S

Definitely the right call from NCSoft.

However it is already too late, they should have done this LAST WEEK and LISTENED to the COMMUNITY FEEDBACK GIVEN BEFORE THE TRANSFERS TOOK PLACE.

if you did that, you would have done a good job.

Agreed. Its good that theyre finally listening but the fact that theyre doin stuff now after the damage is done isnt good enough. They need to either move back everyone thats transferred (and give a whopping good compensation for the inconvenience ie: lvl50 abyss weapon. HINT HINT) or encourage alot of people to roll on the weaker faction to balance thing out.
