As some of you may have noticed on the pts "boon of strength" got changed. It now adds 500 mb and 500 ma.

I can't decide if its better than BoQ now, because in 2.0 you'll get a decent amount of castspeed even without boq (new 55 skill "magic boost", 19% tomes, 8% gloves and vaizels). With the new BoS you can buff up to 800 m.acc and slot stigmas for wintry armor. you don't even need supp.focus anymore.

dont get me wrong. elyos always have complained that asmos have strong boq and they only have crappy bos. turns out, bos seems to be better now.

Sorcs will easily reach mboost hard cap, so the 500 mboost is irrelevant. You are left with a 500 ma buff on a 5 min cd, you can't consider that as a replacement for supp focus.

Seems they are balancing out these 2 stigmas more efficiently with 2.0. On one hand the Cast Speed in 2.0 will be easier to near the cap. 19% tomes+ 8% Gloves(finally replace the attack speed lol)+ Vaizel's Wisdom (25% both sides). making both sides reach ~50%. As with Magic Boost. 2200 MB wasn't really hard to reach to begin with, but now in 2.0. Hard cap here comes the rest of us. Realistically it comes down to 50% Cast Speed boost or 500 MA. If looking at the Stigma tree. The elyos side kind of combined the 2 stigmas that alot of sorcerers I know use (Zikel's Wisdom -> Supplocation of Focus) so it comes down to. would you rather have 50% more cast speed or 1 more of your adv. stigma slots (assuming you've went for Sup. Focus).

This will definately add to the +/- of each as BOS will be alote more benefcial for group DDG style play and BOQ for Solo and some what more group play.

Either way its step forward, but just the the side slightly more. Everyone wants equal side balance, just give it lol.

Either way BOQ still wins, as 50% cast speed... well...

BTW i was told MB cap in 2.0 is 3.6k, Was i trolled or can anyone confirm this?

on another point, my concern about 2.0 stigmas is that, the pve and pvp specs give too much difference now.
i've been using SS build for pve (DP and forts, switch out Sleep Storm for ice harpoon, keep the rest) and it's been working well, my dps is still very high without having to use FS (in fact i find it easier to dps with SS build while clearing mobs). but in 2.0, it seems that the glacial shard build gives way higher dps and is indispensable if u want to do the highest dps u can in instances. but just like FS, it'll be pretty gimp to use this build to pvp instead of the wintry build (this is my opinion) so that'd mean we have to switch the whole stigma builds when we pve and switch back for pvp, that's pretty .. annoying. i know we can use normal skills and weave FW to maintain a good dps still, but vs bosses, it's unlikely that we can "melee" it, so we have to nuke it from afar, and glacial shard seems way better in that situation.

BoS seems like a nice improvement although i don't know how useful another 500 m.acc is with the other m.acc skill we are given. Suppose it'd help in sorc vs sorc situations, but in cases like those 50% cast speed is going to be preferred.

Hardcap is easy to reach, but not for PvP. If you have 2600MB you are likely to have ~7000 HP buffed and any dps class will eat you and your MB alive. It's interesting improvement in BoS, I hope there is such in BoQ too, can anyone check that?

Apparently NCsoft finally gives the elyos sorc's a little buff.
Don't think asmodian sorc's will get a improvement in there BoQ.

I think hundreds of sorc's (including myself) asked for either BoQ/BoS for both factions but eventually they didn't do this and instead buffed BoS.

Still not bad, i will slot BoS if it gives ya 500Mac aswell...this looks yummy ^_^
I can see myself already roflbursting tanks with AA up, atm with macc set and no supplication you can still get some resists... so with that stigma i phewphew hard and no resists... looking forward to this one

for those that say that the MB cap is easy to reach, rofl! hell no.. that means you are slotting lots of MB stones, and every MB stone slotted is a slot wasted.

any decent sorc would go for HP and maybe mixed with Mres depending on your play style, but glass cannon sorc's are just weak in aion and you should know this by now in any other game i played mage i wouldve gone full dmg too ofcourse since a mage is supposed to be phewphew with low defence.

but in aion mages are just different and a HP sorc could survive very well in group pvp, but at the same time still do good damage with 1900MB and having like 9k~10k hp for example thats better imo then 2600MB with 7k HP
and now with that BoS upgrade it's even more useful to be HP and get the extra dmg from BoS

Hmmz interesting, you rich people can already get 2100+ MB in solo PvP easily even with slotting only HP stones...
Hitting cap and getting enough m acc to nullify mres on clerics etc, while still having a lot of HP...
The new BoS looks at least useful now...

The question is: Does the Magic Boost Skill (which adds 300MA) stack with the BoS/SoF? Coz normally two skills that touch the same stat DO NO stack. ^^ (ie Vaizels + BoQ)

But Magic Boost I supposedly stacks with BoQ, so why not with BoS?

AFAIK wisdoms don't stack with boons... We will have to wait for a confirmation on the new skill or figurine it out by ourselves when 2.0 goes live, but so far, my experience says that 2 skills that boost the same stat do not stack.

And sometimes a little different ones: like aspd with cspd, or zikel's with BoQ... If it do stack then BoS will definetely be WAY more useful than it was.

vaizel wisdom = 25%
=74% casting speed.

26% casting speed vs 500 magic acc.


Magic boost skill increases macc by 300 also, so the sorcs should sit around in 1700 macc anyways without using stones. Clerics sit around in ~1900-2k MR in 2,0.
