The sad thing is, it's quite possible that the player Blackmetal has actually lost control of his/her account so it's quite likely not the owner of the account who mailed you.

I noticed you play on the EU servers and there is a player called Blackmetal who has been utterly cleaned out by a hacker on Perento (see here http://uk.aiononline...ento/Blackmetal). If this is the guy who mailed you, then I'd say it's not him doing the mailing at all!

Well, well, well.... looks like they finally found me! This was in my spam box this morning. Worrying detail: the English is actually almost correct, they're learning (even if only to copy and paste). The original sender, however, was a hotmail address in both cases.

I received this mail twice, one yesterday Saturday 17 April (title: Aion account warning), the second today Sunday 18 April (title: Aion account two times warning)

Morning,

Ok so I decided to check my Gmail spamfolder as I'm expecting a starcraft 2 beta key, and this is what I found:

The account thieves have really stepped their game up haven't they. I mean, 5! mails in 2-3 days time.. O_O
Anyone else experiencing this increase in phishing?

~Kal

p.s. I am absolutely disgusted by the 'new' layout

The emails from NCsoft could be legit, they're pretty incompetent in managing their MMOs so i'd imagine their grammar isn't all that either.

Bt, its all fine and dandy for you to voice you're opinion, but I don't think I've ever come across a more unlikable person on the internet than you. I don't say this often but I sincerely hope you leave these forums. There is not a single constructive thing you have ever contributed to any of them.

Idd i have noticed the same

in 4 years of wow and now with aion
i never had one single phishing email

and since the last 2-3 months i am getting at least 2-3 on a daily base
with the majority actually being wow mail

there all delivers on the wrong email address tho so they go instantly in the trashcan
there even marked as spam by my provider -_- its getting ridiculous

Hehe, I wouldn't know as I have been "out" of the aion community for several months now due to other priorities in life.
How's Aion doing? and I also noticed 3! new servers.. could this mean the community is growing?

Negative. I'm not a retard with only half a brain ;) + I work in the ICT industry, maintaining networks and troubleshooting.
So I know what not to visit, nice assumption though.

I didnt have any e-mails till the beginning of april, and during april I have not visited any unlegit sites or anything I would not have visited before, hell.. I've barely even been at my PC due to real life obligations o_o.

Just you wait, you're up next >:)

Mine has looked alot like that lately. All WoW stuff though, not NCsoft. But one actually managed to get past the spam filter yesterday so thats probably what their aiming at when sending out so many.

I haven't gotten any of those either, although I did get a legit email from NcSoft telling me that someone tried to reset my master account password.
