When you craft with the 'Lodus Amulet' in effect(and energy of repose) you get more XP. The question is do you level you skill faster with these effects running or is it just an xp bonus?

It's just an xp bonus. Same with Energy of Repose. I've done rather extensive personal testing to prove this.
