Getting 99 Inventory Slots (Elyos)

Introduction:

This guide explains how to obtain all 99 inventory slots for your Elyos character, which is currently the maximum available. Often people miss out on getting quite a number of inventory slots so this guide was made to help!

Ok so where exactly do the 99 slots come from? Lets start with a short summary:

- 27 slots are received immediately upon character creation.
- 36 slots from level 1, 2, 3, and 4 cube expansion in Sanctum.
- 9 slots from the Shugo on Tigraki Island.
- 9 slots from the level 29 quest A Lucky Day.
- 9 slots from the level 35 quest chain The Legend of Vindachinerk.
- 9 slots from an Expand Cube Ticket received for the 1 month: Pop Daeva Veteran Reward

Warning! Make SURE you obtain the upgrade from the Tigraki Shugo before you apply your Expand Cube Ticket from the 1 month Veteran Reward. Once you reach 90 slots, the Tigraki Shugo will not upgrade your cube further, so it is important to do this in the correct order!



Getting 99 Inventory Slots:


1. Level 1 to 4 Cube Expansion
The first thing you need to do is pay kinah to expand your cube fully. From this expansion, you will receive an additional 4 rows of inventory space, totalling 36 extra slots. For this you need to go talk to either Yiehmonerk or Heerunerk which can be found in Sanctum at the Hall of Prosperity.


Of course a Shugo wouldn't be a Shugo if he didn't charge for his services


2. Level 5 Cube Expansion from Tigraki Island

For this part you need to find and talk to Jarumonerk, he can be found in a little hut on Tigraki Island.



Tigraki is located in the upper abyss and works the same as Black Cloud Island, it only appears once you get near it. Simply fly to the location on the screenshot and you'll find it



Once you found him just talk to him and upgrade it for a modest price, and there you go another extra 9 slots



3. Quest Upgrades

There are 2 quests available to help you upgrade your cube even further.

The first quest is: <A Lucky Day> which can be acquired at level 29 to obtain 9 inventory slots.
The second quest starts with: <The Legend of Vindachinerk> which can be started at level 35 to obtain another 9 slots.

3.1 A Lucky Day (9 slots):

To start off the quest talk to Demodocos, he's located in the Sanctum crafting area in the middle





For the next step talk to Yiehmonerk located at the broker area



And that it's , 9 easy slots right?

3.2 Vindachinerk quest series (9 slots):

3.2.1 The Legend of Vindachinerk

This one is a bit more lengthy and can be quite frustrating if you're unlucky with finding Vindachinerk

Start off the quest by talking to Poporinerk
He can be found in the Grey Fog Marshes in Heiron near the observatory





You need to find Jaiorunerk's Diary which drops from Jaku the Glutton.
He's located a bit further at the Orton Farm







Once you got the diary, hand it in and you'll receive a new quest <Jaiorunerk's Diary>.

3.2.2 Jaiorunerk's Diary

This quest is easy just hand in the diary to Yiehmonerk and you're done.

3.2.3 Where's Vindachinerk?

This quest is also a simple talk-to-npc quest. First you must ask Supervisor Numonerk about Vindachinerk's whereabouts. Supervisor Numonerk can be found in Veteron up the stairs, right side when you go outside.

The next NPC is Yadamonerk. He can be found right at the other side of the Flight Transporter in Theobomos.



The last NPC is Garkbinerk which is a bit tricky if you've never been to Black Cloud Island before. Black Cloud Island is hidden in upper abyss so you need to fly there, and only when you are near, will it appear. If you fly to the location shown on the picture, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding the island.

Note: Make you sure you have enough flight time to reach it, else buy Wind Serums and/or Flight Speed Scrolls.

3.2.4 A Gift For Vindachinerk

Here you need to collect 3x Ksellid whisker. You can drop them from Steelback Ksellids which are located in Elten desert.



The next part is probably the most annoying/long part unless you’re lucky. You need to find Vindachinerk. The only problem is, he can spawn at three different locations, and doesn’t always spawn. You need to be lucky/patient to find him.



- The first spawn is located on the bridge near Roah Fortress

- The 3rd spawn can be found above Eastern Shard of Latesran

The in-game times at which he appears are:
-1:00am & 6:00am
-8:00am & 2:00pm
-4:00pm & 10:00pm

3.2.5 Vindachinerk's Demand

Once you’ve finally found him he will send you off to do another quest.

You need to bring him:
-4x Griffon Egg
-2x Crynac Salivary Gland

Tip: Try to do this quest as fast as possible so you can hand it in before he despawns, else you will need to find him again.


The Griffon Egg can be found in Eltnen, near the Kuriullu Outpost



Th next item, Crynac Salivary Gland, can be found in Deathsong forest below Arbolu's Haven.



Once you’ve gathered those items, hurry back to Vindachinerk to hand in the quest and pray he’s still there in the same place!

3.2.6 Vindachinerk's Scroll

You are almost there, just deliver Vindachinerk's Scroll to Yiehmonerk.

Tadaa! There you have an extra 9 slots for you inventory

4. Cube Expansion Ticket from Veteran Rewards
After being subscribed to Aion for one month, your account will automatically receive a bonus upgrade called a Veteran Reward. The upgrade for the first month is called "1 month: Pop Daeva" and the reward includes an Expand Cube Ticket to expand your inventory by 9 slots.

To apply the upgrade, simply login to your NCsoft Master Account and Apply Ingame Items to your account. Detailed instructions explaining how to apply items to your account be found here.

The version on powerwiki is very brief compared to Shiva's version (with pics and a step by step for each quest). All the powerwiki does is list the quest names.

I think it's nice to see it all in once place, with pics and tips as you go along.

The powerwiki and Armory also don't tell you that if you apply your expand inventory cube ticket too early, you'll miss out on the last 9 slot, so this guide is much better than those abbreviated piles of nyerk.

I'm almost sure i upgraded my cube at tigraki after i got 90 slots. But I'm asmo. :p

pretty sure i used my ticket the very first minute i created my alt, and i got 99 slots after all

where would one get the other slots

Yeah positive! So many people I've met on the Elyos side of the servers say they have only reached 90 slots because the Tigraki Shugo won't upgrade for them when they did all the other steps first.

We've tested this across multiple characters and it's conclusive. If you reach 90 slots before getting your Tigraki upgrade...you're screwed out of 9 slots.

If you want to share you guides/articles to community, just do it if you like helping others. I screwed up in this part of the quest and i talked with the wrong NPc. Any way to get the 9 slots?

That just blows completely. And it's certainly not so fair, you have to hold onto the ticket for a while before you have enough kinah at low levels to purchase the Level 5 upgrade.

Sure hope it gets fixed.
