3.0 Spiritmaster Skills from korean patch notes Rate Topic: -----

Here are the roughly translated new sm skills from the 3.0 Korean patch notes. Please note, that there may be errors in my interpretation so treat the new information lightly. Also note, 3.0 is in PTS, so these skill are subject to (and they are often) change.

Passive Skills
A passive skill that can be learned at level 10/22/34/48/60 which increases magic resistance

Active Skills

1. Magic Explosion I (Rough Translation)
A Debuff skill which is similar to Magic Implosion. (unsure if its actually just a higher level of magic implosion or a new skill). Learned at level 56

2. Restraint of nightmare I (rough translation)
Binds the target for 10 seconds. Learned at level 57

3. Soul Extortion I
Stigma skill. Fires 5 bolts when activated. Deals water damage to the target with each bolt. (this skill is probably the one you see in the sm 3.0 video where the sm launches these spirit bolts at the feared target. It is a recurrent skill which belongs to the new combat system.) Level 58 Stigma Skill

4. Spirit Provocation I
Commands the spirit to provoke the target. (I think this is some new spirit threat kinda skill.)
Learned at level 59

5. Elemental Armor I
Increases maximum HP by 25% and there is a 100% chance to block up to 20% of damage for 3 seconds and absorb 5% of damage as HP. Learned at level 60. (This is the best I could make sense of)

6. Mind Rapport I
Stigma Skill. Increases Magic Accuracy, Magic Boost and Magic Resist by 200 for 2 minutes. Level 60 Stigma Skill (Unsure if the skill duration is for 2 minutes or it has a 2min CD)

Changes to the existing skills:
1. Fear I and Fear Shriek I duration has been reduced.

2. Spirit Substitution 1 range has been increased from 10M to 20M.


EDIT:
Restraint of nightmare I: some source said this could be fear. But i read this as a bind skill.

Elemental Armor I: I probably Made a mistake in this part(Since korean call the spirits elementals). This is a buff to summoned spirits . It increases spirit max HP by 25%, blocks 20% damage and recovers 5% hp every 3 seconds.

Nice stuff!

Can you post the CD/Duration of the spells too?

About fear duration... let's wait and see. With our MBoost stat massive boosted they had to do something like that imo.

The fear, I understood it more like "reduced duration when you fear a already feared target" than a plain reduced duration.

Oh... that seems reasonable actually. Even though it does force you to use Silence + Stone Shock for a proper fearchain.

Ok _that_ would be just awesome.

I'm curious about the sorc skill though. 2.0/2.5 gave them some ridiculous stuff like MB/EW these inst 15m stun ..

I think there will be some more 'no way, how could they do that' skills :D

Doesn't seem like they fixed class balancing at all. Sorcs will still pop Magic Boost and throw out a billion damage with a billion defensive abilities, and Assassins obviously needed more buffs because getting instant gibbed in 3 secs just wasn't fast enough.


Think I'll remain unsubbed. Joke game.

What matters for us :
- skill book pet buff : 1 min duration 3 min CD. The effects are +25% max HP, 20% damage shield on every hit and heals 5% max HP every 3s

- mental link stigma : 2 minute buff, instant cast, 10s CD ! WOOT! That stigma goes into my build NOW! It's +200 macc/mboost/msomething for both us and our pet (maybe mres or some kind of new magic defense stat)

- pet taunt : looks like an AoE taunt at least. 30s CD instant cast

- the repeat damage x5 stigma : 1.5 min CD, 436 base damage, all instant cast

- the nightmare root thingy. It's a chain skill actually, chains from our fears. Instant cast, 16s CD

- new dispell. Instant cast, 24s CD, Chain skill after our 3 already existing dispell skills actually. 724 damage + 181 every 3s for 12s (Magic Implosion => new dispel => 2 debuffs ready to cover silence)

- the last skill is a passive as it was known. Improves that msomething I mentioned in mental link

The two new chain skills are a nice touch, means new skills without needing a new key for it.

This pet buff sounds a bit OP, but there some really nice new skills.

This all reads so nice. Not just some random dmg skills.

Mental Link is our best new spell I'd say. Consider that everything and the kitchen sink seems to get some mres buffs, it's really needed

Having problems lately fighting sorcs with 1900+MR + covered EW.
This will help alot.

/edit: This new dispell will help against those sorcs too. You get 2 debuffs on your enemy (now slow) and remove 6(I guess) debuffs too. Sounds really good too.

actually thats right only if the opposing hero has 6+ buffs on his head else u'll dispell the magic implosion from it with the magic explosion

that makes no sense

Magic Explosion can't remove Implosion as Implosion is a debuff not a buff.

Oh and just like Implosion the Explosion chain skill will still pop the debuff dot on the target even if no buffs were removed.

Do you even know what you're talking about here? Magic Implosion, a long with a few other skills (Shackles, IP & Withering) are very much dispellable by the SM's own dispells. If it sometimes doesn't seem like that it's either: a) Because the target still has more buffs to remove, so it won't affect the debuffs, or b) due to animation delay, you can sometimes pop dispel before the actual debuff's land, hence not dispelling them. But if you read the skill description you can very clearly see, that those skills can be dispelled by dispells.
