I was told that it's going to be hotfixed. I have no ETA however. I also have a Korean version of the client that is (unfortunately) a later patch than this patch and so it doesn't run the game (gives what I assume is a wrong version error in Korean after logging in). If anybody knows how to get regular 3.0 from Korea then please do say.

So it looks like the 64 bit client might be official now? I found this post on the official Aion page on Facebook today:

Confirmed.. US 64-bit works fine now with the latest update.

Yes, it appears to work again. Yay!

Please note that as usually it's not officially supported by NCsoft, so if you have any problems be aware that customer service will likely ask you to switch back to the 32bit version for troubleshooting.

If not officially supported, why would NCSoft be spouting this off?

The original post of it coming back said that it's not officially supported. I suppose they could have changed their minds, but I have seen no official dialog stating this is the case. As far as why they're spouting off about it - well, your guess is as good as mine. They've done a lot of things in the past that require you to suspend your rational mind when you look at them.
