Ok, I made this to find out if there is any huge difference between cloth (which looks so absolute stunning) and leather. I used my basic stats of the character and the following items:

Accessory: 55 gold (complete)
Weapon: TAC top, EC Arena Bow Cond. 2 as Fusion, complete socket with Crit. 17
Gloves: Leather Arena 55 Eternal (for attack speed)
The rest is a comparsion between 55 Eternal leather EC arena and 55 Eternal cloth arena (both condition 2)

The only difference I notice after adding my basic stats, that
there is only a difference between evasion and physical def.

Are those two stats which are worth to use leather?

I really like the high mana pool, and the higher mag. def.

For this picture, all 5 items are not socket, so you can add another 350 mag. def to it, if you
fully socket your gear with magicle defence.

with eternal accs you can get about 2000 magical defence.

I would like to have your opinion if it is worth getting cloth, instead of leather. The difference is not
that big, and the additional mag. def is really nice.

Well I go for the cloth set, to get more mag res, phys def is useless for us rangers, focused shots already nerf it by 50%. Comes quite handy when you do some solo pvping.

I know that phys. def is a useless stat if you don´t have many of it.
What me bothers is the evasion, but I really don´t know if this is a really important stat.
Yes, it saves my butt a few times, but how often do I evade? It feels more like one ouf of 100 hits.

Well it's 51 mres for ~250 evasion, 11 attack and 329 pdef.

I presume you have 2 sets in the end, a normal one and a mres one. For that case the cloth armor is the way to go.
Most likely you won't fight the physical classes with it anyway.

Ok, I thought about 2 sets, but I always thought about the "ideal fighting scenario"

Against every casting class (sorc, sm, cleric etc.) .. they are ranged and every stat like "evasion, pdef" etc. won´t help me, since I can not evade spells. There the main attribute to go with is Mres.

Against melee classes .. since I´m ranged and one of the classes with top speed and CC (slow, root, traps, sleep, silence) it should be possible to kite every melee classe to death. Now, we all know that this is impossible since they have stuff like ankle snare (gladi), that pull from the temp, or hide (assa) ..

BUT, they mostly count as magic skills. So with Mres I can resist those CC skills of melee fighters.

I talk about an ideal fight.

So, when I think like that, a high Mres set is also good against melee fighters, when they don´t get close to you, or in melee range. ?

If a gladi comes close to me and can hit me freely while i´m snared .. they just kill me even with pdef and evasion.

I think more like a mage does. I have only a little life, I only have low defense in melee fights, so I should do everything to avoid melee fights and get my range.

Am I wrong? .. just curious

No you're following the right logic.

And yes, MRes set will allow you to resist ankle snare, tendon slice, even the after effect of pull that renders you useless for 1-2sec or so, or most if not all runes of assassin.
Evasion is a stat that as a cap at 30%, what makes it a bit useless, not something to rely on. Phys def, well 100phys def is roughly 8~10 dmg in pvp, gotta stack alot, and cant forget that focused shots takes 50% of it. So cloth for mres seems like a good choice imo.

The choice is quite simple... There is no dilemma here.

Difference between leather and cloth : Leather has more Pdef and Evasion, Cloth has more Mres (and other things we don't care like Mboost) and moreover, Cloth gives u more HP when u enchanted. (Like +1K hp for +15 on the 5 parts, whereas leather gives barely 800)

So this is quite simple, you need to take Tunic, Leggings and Shoes from the cloth set of the Spiritmaster (basically this is the one with conditionning bonuses of Mres / MA instead of Ma /Mboost) and take the Vambrace and the Shoulderguards of the Leather set of the Ranger (with spell resist bonuses) if u plan to use this hybrid set as a MR set, or u take those 2 parts from the leather set of the assassin (with strike resist bonuses) if u want a more polyvalent set.

Im personnally going for Tunic + Leggings + Shoes (Cloth SM set) + Vambrace and Shoulderguards (Leather Ranger set) to use it as full MR set. With 55 orange PvP accs + Carved corundum glasses, u can reach 2K4 MR, with 50+ spell resist and you don't rly need to enchant it because u don't need strike resist against casters, and getting 1K more HP is not worth spending 5kkk to enchant a full eternal set to +15 ^^

I just used today 100m for magic resist 14 stones (right now the piece costs 3-4,5m) and got 0 out of it. Now my new chest piece is socket with tp70 stones until I have money again :dazed:

I wish they would bring the 100% socket supplements back in the store

It´s not that random. But when a 95 stone with normal supps fails, then its like :plshelp: .. RNG is nothing more than a slight chance that it can fail ^^

Which makes success even greater .. anyway .. got it to +8 .. world is ok until now ^^
