10krpm hdd's are not much if any better than 7200rpm hdd's and way more expensive.


ssd's actually have a hugfe performance gain depending on the task they are assigned


example ssd's give un beatable performance on logn loadign apps, or mmo's, or windows boot times.


although installed windows to an ssd for a faster boot is the most retarded thing you can use them for. where as putting the cache on one isnot a terrrible idea in terms of perforamce, ti will degrade lognevity relatively quickly dpending on how much you use the cache.


i bought my ssd to use for mmo's, used it in wow adn although it cut my load times in half or better, it was still less than expected.

where as it seems to work really well in swtor compared to the complaints i've seen other have of longer laods and logner loading kidna interupted conversation type deals.

i didn't use it for rift because i tested rif t on my hdd and it loaded unusually fast for an mmo on an hdd. but my hdd is prett fast it seems anyway.

i've heard aion doesn't really benefit from beign installed on an ssd from abck when nthe tech section was still active from credible sources.
