I have played it long time ago (v1.8 I guess) and rly enjoyed the game but I had horrible internet with huge ping and download cap... so I decided to stop playing. But now, I want to back and begin all over again from zero. So, my question is simple. Is it worth??

Most of the people here will say it doesnt worth. But really depends what you are looking for... something to fill your free time or something else?... pvp or pve?... No,actually both are so RNG'ed that cant be so much fun so...


My guess is that you wont understand if it worths or not untill you re-sub

Dont go back then. Starting from scratch for such a short time you can get like fenris+30e and some jewels+descent weapon I guess... Fighting people that are in ET gear already will just frustrate you....

You won't really have much PVP fun without grinding your ass off for a few months or years - depending on your available play time and more important your luck.

If you don't enjoy RNG style grind better go and play Lineage 2 which is free to play now or wait the 3-4 days until SW:TOR comes out. Both titles have far less grind and offer fun PVP at all levels and not just for uber geared twinks/55s.

If you enjoyed old aion, you will enjoy it even more now.

The game has been made less grindy, you will find yourself levelling up much faster then what you are used to, and it won't take you months to reach end-game content.

Next to that droprates have been increased greatly and quite some new instances have been added.

The basics are still the same, the imbalances in pvp have increased, and the enchanting/socketing/crafting system is still based on RNG. But like you stated, you enjoy doing PVE, and aion has gotten quite alot of it since the time you played.

Afaik there is no real launch date for GW2 yet, so it's probably at least march when they release it. Wich will give you plenty of time to play Aion.

yeah, drop rates are much better than they originally were. And a lot has actually been fixed about the game as far as the initial leveling grind sort of stuff. It's a lot quicker to level now and there is more content.

The complaints mainly start at max level from frustrated players playing with rng.

If you initially liked Aion, you'll probably still like it.

Nah, dont bother with Aion now that swtor is out. The RNG in Aion WILL p i s s you off just as much today as it did the last time you played and it WILL ultimately lead to quitting the game again. SO just try something totally new and fresh and enjoyable = swtor, fun even if you dont like star wars.

it's basicaly playing lotery on E-V-E-R-Y aspect/thing of the game, even pvp when there's is some

RNG is short for Random Number Generator. In Aion the RNG rules nearly every aspect of the game. If you don't have enough luck in this game you are basically nyerked and will spend years on stuff others get in a matter of days.

I disagree, I used to drop way more items in 1.5 than in 2.6. Dunno about 2.7 thou but as far as I know they reduced the amount of AP you can get from EC, still sounds like a fail to me.

In terms of levelling, gearing up and keeping busy in game then it is a lot better than when you first played, however, PvP is in the worst state that it has ever been in.

I used to enjoy PvP in Aion even though luck based RNG and player class has always played a huge role, but if you played well you could mostly swing things back into your favour vs less skillful players. Now however, the latter half of that statement is no longer true as I feel that Aion has crossed the line in terms of how much luck based RNG in relation to player input dictates the outcome of PvP due to the absurd boost in MR that the last few iterations of new PvP armour have given players. That's why I don't play it anymore, and neither should you.

PvP was a bit of a joke to begin with but now it is total farce.

PvP was never meant to be part of the game except ganking people on mobs. Nothing to be fixed when you dont care about something.

Oh,the stigmas you got with AP points... but they are just for pve,man. Who would implement 6k+ dmg skill(s) in a PvP game where people run in 8k HP
