It's positive to me. I was about to quit aion cause i cba to P2P but then comes F2P aion. Look at all the idiots on this or official forums spamming "LOL I CAN'T WAIT FOR GW2 LOLO I GOT A BONER". Let's say that the attention seekers will actually move to the other mmos, how many people would be still playing aion?
That's because you're the classic F2P random player that has no clue about what's going on, if 13€ monthly (which are nothing) bother you so much then you should have chosen a private server on the first place.
You think that all will stay the same as it is now for the "high level pvp players" (or, in order to don't be misunderstood, for people that competitively PvP at lv 55, instead of ganking newbies with their overgeared twink)?
A company doesn't buy a P2P game to make it F2P without anything back, it will end like every other F2P game, aka pay in order to be competitive (and you will end up on spending way more than 13€ monthly, which is not a problem for me but it's not the main point, i know people that have spent more than 1.000€ on RF Online's cash shop).
Also, you think that the new "private server players" (or in other words, kids) that will join Aion will make it better? Seriously, if someone wanted to play Aion it surely was not the 13€ monthly to stop him. So TERA/GW2 will have the same impact on the truly player base.

Have you ever made a new alt? Well i made quite a lot of them and what i noticed is:
You join some random L30 group, check the gear of ppl there and they're all full daevanion +10 or fabled sets +10 with +10 weapons. It was so rare for me to find a new player with green/blue items, finding a group for some instances is nearly impossible. Why is that? because there is no new players coming to aion, IT'S DEAD.
No, i never made an alt. But i made a new char, a Gladiator (and i called it a new char because i didn't spent a single kinah from my main in order to gear him up, nor i went to gank newbies on Beluslan).
Ofc it was rare to find new players with green/blue items, even because with the new drop rates and surveys you're full gold in less than nothing (even with kromedes weapons).
It's not true, i always found groups for FT or Kaidan, not to mention that there always is the mentor system.

I loooove ganking, it's so cool and makes me so happy.
And this tell me what kind of player you are, no wonder that the F2P thing made you so happy.
But remeber, the real PvP is at lv 55, ganking newbies with your twink is not pvp.

1) Try reporting a cheater or bot with 100% proof to ncsoft.
2) True
3) Do i even have to comment on that? have you ever seen GM in aion? I did once, he was spamming aoe in Gelk fort and looked like a huge rabbit.
4) Just like some of the bugs in aion that exist from the start of the game and never got fixed.
5) Just like in aion?
6) Alright now... have you ever reported someone and saw him being banned? I reported 2 people with 100% proof and they never got banned. I only noticed ncsoft banning people when there's million reports on someone and they just want to stop the spam.
1)Customer service doesn't only means repots, i always had good experience with the NCSoft Customer service, they always helped me when i had some issues with the game (like when after a patch my Noble Coliseum Brenches got changed to Stately, they gave me back the Noble after a day, full socketed and enchanted). Losing this kind of support will be a seriously issue.
2)So playing again with bots and goldsellers doesn't bother you at all?
3)Inexistant GM's doesn't have to mean "in game", who cares about ingame GMs.
4)Because some of those bugs must be fixed from the Korean Devs, but what would happen if another Divine bug shows up and Gameforge is not able to fix it intime? there you screwed a whole server.
5)And what happens if Gameforge takes even longer to get us those patch?
"Yes, update 3.0 will also be installed on the European server. However, the localisation of the new content will take some time." (
http://www.aionfreet.../gamecontent_02)
Does this means that it will take longer than the NA version?
6)I never have reported anyone, even because the only cheats that people can use in game are either radar/glide hacks or nofall, every other thing is only a QQ from newbies that get killed. But as far as i saw, every glide hacker that got reported was banned, radar hackers on the other way no, which indeed sucks (but we all know that NCWest is far from being perfect).

So, only your 2nd argument is one that might get worse, but i hope a company like gameforge, wich has experience with f2p games will just implement something like gameguard to prevent most botting.
That's not my direct experience with them, i only quoted Grayy from the official forums. You never know that can get worse or better when such big changes happens, only time will tell (specially, when we talk about the NCSoft support team, which was always good).
But as far as I can tell, i'm totally not happy (this doesn't mean that i won't give a chance to the "new Aion", i just don't like how NCSoft handled this situation for the EU version of the game).

Fanboys are boring. There's absolutely no way to justify what they did to Aion in the past 1.5 years. That said, That description of Grayy is exactly NCsoft except not botters because even they abandoned the game long time ago.
Also the number of the Gameforge team doesn't mean anything. If they are 38 hardworking people with access to actually change the game to their liking it's way better than NCwest has done.
It's not true at all.
As far as i understood from Aksi's posts, not even Innova is able to do such big changes (because they still have to keep the koreans devs version of the game) so i really doubt that Gameforge will be able to (except for the cash shop items, maybe).
