Parry Build Discussion

I'm almost finishing a e40 set all +15 and going to socket parry till I hit 2.7k which seems a good number to counter most people's accuracy's (around 2.4k) and drop the rest in crit + HP
I'm just not sure on my weapon choice, if either the Tac Officer's Polearm or Greatsword. I have a very mobile playstyle and I do like the attack speed from the Greatsword, I'm just not sure if the damage output will be good enough.
What are your thoughts on this? Is parry a viable defensive route?
Sorry if this has already been discussed and thank you for your input.

Parry doesn´t work against half of all classes. If you really want to suffer that much Crit/Accu/DMG, then do it for pure TP socketing, but not for Parry...
I thought No,you. and reflexion were trolling, but ahahaha...
Stigmabuild isn´t wrong though.
With new weaps and 3.0 buff you will have like 2.3-2.5 Parry anyways.

No decently geared ranger is gonna get passively parried by you and any sin is gonna have oath of accuracy on. So your basically looking at investing a full set of armor just for temps and other glads. That just doesn't seem viable.

1. me parry 3,4k+
2. assa 2,3k accu
3. two duels á 5mins with healing me
result: 127hits taken, 17parried
i thought parryCap was at 30 or 40% but it seems much lower
but if u still keep parry in ur mind ;
use greatsword , prefer drenium carved
u will need to use defense preparation
u need to socket parry of course , 10 is a minimum
u will miss some kd attack , so remove dual chain . u should just use vengeful strike , and don't forget it didn't work on sm and sorc , and fews times on cleric Hallowed Strike V

Actually prefering KD skills over Sharp/Vicious is like limitating yourself on DMG... still don´t know how so many didn´t get this yet and Crippling is also static like Vicious. The great difference is you can use DW chain, full or not - FREELY without interruption, more often.
Also there will be always 2 free KD skills anyway.
Def Prep? Back then people heavily trolled about this and such, now theyself think about doing a Parry build or how to handicap theirself and such... is that a bad dream?

This is just something I want to test out, it's not like if it doesn't work I'm going to blindly stick to it. I like to meddle around with different, little used builds. Sometimes there are quite nice surprises.
And I'll state it again, I'm not losing anything besides the "cookie cutter" stigma build and attack manastones socketing. Crit and Accuracy are balanced out.

- need to slot the parry buff stigma so lol
- def prep ? I'd rather add moar parry than using that nyerk
- aion mechanics are bad, 3.0 add moar bad mechanics so I won't keep my game up to date even when it'll be F2P so I won't test such a build ... unless I'm nyerkING MOTHERnyerkING BORED AND DRUNK
- vicious blow is a stupid skill, it's really nice if you want to loose some distance
- CC is cool since it's a part of an almost instant BURST WHERE THE TARGET CAN'T HEAL ITSELF OR MOVE AWAY. DB -> CC -> Weave -> FinalStrike >>>>>>> all you can do with vicious blow, unless you think loosing distance is great.
But I dunno why I'm posting that since only good moving players will understand, but I mean the real ones, that's like 2% of the people here, but 98% think they're good and skilled

Nothing wrong, but there was a time where a player would get flametrolled when only mention the word parry. Just wondered what´s happening atm... is it just because of the new leech skill?
Btw, at the same time I could say that you are so clueless that you can´t see that Sharp Chain(talking about full chain now) is exactly the same as Draining + Crippling on a knockdown(both need to stand still for a sec on 2. skill), BUT Sharp Chain can´t be interrupted through late reaction OR Remove Shock + more availability AND you can use it different also.
So don´t tell me you´re more flexible with Crapling Cut and Draining Flop. It would be just an excuse for not beeing able to try something different.
Also I could say YOU are fighting baddies, if you get out your oh so cool high cooldown kd combo on your enemies, because they don´t know that something like Remove Shock exists.
