the firey pangs of your absence leaves this rusty and tattered man solefully alone and ridden with memories of your fond voice. i hope your adventuring leaves you fulfilled and alive, as you once have left me. i have attached 2 blunderbusses, as well as 20 silver pieces, to help you on your travels, and i hope they find you well. til we meet again.

I think the dev that said melees have more control is on drugs. Just saying - the whole concept of ranged is control and the ability to keep range so that you just have more options. I know the dev is probably referring to more control options like knockdowns, but a good ranged person will just kite forever. And it's currently possible to do just that to melee that are baddies and don't pull out a ranged weapon.
Melee weapons do definitely do more damage. So it's good that even ranged characters have melee weapons they can use in case of getting caught in a bad situation.
And ummm, circle kiting is king in gw2 for their pve encounters. Makes them kinds boring if I'm going to be honest.

melee have ways of closing the gap if you spend your skill points wisely. ranged is a bit easier ofc, but thats nothing new in an mmo. glass cannons tend to be the most popular classes once a game goes live. I had the most fun with a mesmer cause it has a lot of utility and evades. i can dodge enough spells to survive, while having ranged greatsword abilities.

Meh this is just another something is OP b/c people are not top level yet. If Anet went and changed everything to fit level 30's then at level 80 we would have a huge problem.
I'm just tell it like it is guy.

stay mesmer ted, we need mesmer like you to make us look fabulous and give us fashion tips.
you know the pure pvp stuff you get leveled to 80 with every thing unlocked right? except ofc full selection of weapons i guess lulz. not sure on that one.

gues it depends on if the run speed bonuses ar emultiplicative or additive. if additive that would b enuts.
i have no idea why i ran faster than you on saturday night though,. i had no passive signets with runspeed bonus, and was in fire, and no traits either.
