everyone says that after they try a new action rpg. then they get bored of it. then decide tabtarget/click target is superior to faux fps action rpg combat.

I dont like to take a games popularity as a sign of it being a quality game too. WoW was the perfect example; 15 million played, including random celebrities and some people's moms/grandmas, but that was all because the developers appealed to the lowest common denominator of gamers by making it extremely easy to be successful. But it never won over the more hardcore gamers. I still take every new game, regardless of popularity, with a grain of sand because, more than likely, its slightly easier and less frustrating to play than most other games.

you know what's funny, products of reproductive cloning usually dont live long. sometimes they show no unhealthy signs at all and yet they die randomly.

unless they can manage to make it better. swtor has some interesting nuances that allow it to kinda stand alone from wow, atleast for the time being. In this case, I have to look past the bad UI, unrealistic jumping animation, and wowclone modeling. After all that is said, it still is a pretty fun game. I'm enjoying the dot tree of jedi sages. The combat was something to get used to, but I'm already over the hump and at lvl18 with all my pvp gear waiting for me at 20.

question: do relics only offer endurance as the stats + ability? i was looking for willpower and no luck, lol.

"everyone" raided in vanilla. even though less than 5% downed a boss in MC. mostly because of the boring ass trash.

wow is a favourite among so called hardcore players for both challenging pve and competitive rated pvp.

idk what game you are comparing to. semi afk watch tv while you macfro your way to auotwin gear aion?

you assume i haven't seen aion endgame lulz because i quit playign seriously in oct 09.

i'm well aware that aion endgame up until BT was 3 hour trashfests followed by 10-15 minute boss in which everyone int eh party blew all CDs within 10s of each other or it was a wipe and try again tomorrow.

i'm also aware that BT was easymode enough that puremallace could MT it well enough to get repeat groups as the famiously worse player in this or any other game.

further more my logic doesn't imply that simply because you didn't play past vanilla you are unaware of the challenging nature of wow endgame pve specifically raid cotnent, but rather that it's a trope that everyone raided in vanilla which was known as the most hardcore era for 5% raiding where much of the content went untouched by the vast majority of players while everyone who plays mmo's prefaces their opinion posts suggesting radical changes in late beta to "i was a top raider in vanilla who quit in tbc because my top raid epics were replaced by quest greens 10 minutes into hellfire therefore..."

while ultimately it's well documented that the dificulty in vanilla raiding was ultimately:

logistics- getting 40 people together 3+ nights a week for 6+ hours a night + getting the necessary people to farm teh nyerk for consumables an dnyerk like resist gear day after day

time spent- from the soul crushing attunements, the time spent farming nyerk for the raids, to the sleep inducing time spent clearning the epic amounts of trash, vanilal raids are famous for making up for the easy mode journey to cap vs previous mmo's with beyond retarded amounts of time required for even entry level raiding.

while tbc flipped all that, with shorter and then no attunements, less farmign for consumables required, and ultimately fight sso challenged that less than 5% of wow players got beyodn th efirst few bosses of karazhan within the first year, or even the entire expack even if they were overgeared via arena epics, not because it was time consuming, as ultimately the time needed for raiding was reduced by a huge amount to a small fraction of vanilla raiding. but rather that the fights were so demanding and dificult and required on point precision team play.

ultimately the chang ein wotlk was to further make raiding content more accessbale by innovating ont eh catch up mechanics seen in tbc witht he badge gear, but even then wotlk raids were nearl ycomparable in dificulty to tbc 5mans, whiel still being th emost challenging content available in teh entire genre of mmo's for multip group pve content.

so to say wow exclsuive caters to the lowest common denominator is silly, when in fact, it caters to every type of gamer, from casual to hardcore, and often the hardcore players in particular have a ahrd time going to new mmo's because to themi the hardest trion or bioware can come up with is faceroll to them while they raid full time in wow, tkaing an off night one night a week to get world firsts in these games. where as aion doesn't even rate because ultimately again, aside from teh video proof of the ease of these fights as limited as the availabilty of content is to begin with, it's easy enough that puremallace was allowed to do it repeatedly, something he has yet to achieve in any other game.

My toon is on The Fatman and is named Dodo. I made a lvl1 on Bondar Crystal to play with DK the other night but he went to bed early. That one is also named Dodo.
