let's be honest here. you went to college and took a gfx design course. you aren't an artist, your someone that actually paid to learn how to use photoshop.

americans for the last decade told me all about how they were living the american dream because they got paid to do the thing they love. many of them were gfx designers. many of them in 08-10 complained about not being employed for x many years, and how were asking for a loan to become phone hotline psychics like the forum admin. alot of them complained they were this close to losing their house, and their credit was maxxed out, years after nyerkting all over me because i never use a credit card or took out loans from banks, beyond borrwing a few bucks from friends or the pub host now and then that i paid back within a matter of days.


alot of those people though, to be fair, suck a cult leaders dick every time he appears to tell them how fun they are as longas they don't disagree with him on even minor points or do anything but say how wise and right he is about everything,a nd ofc to help him harass whatever forum hasn't sucked his dick adn given him mod/admin rights this week.


thank goodness i ahven't been so bored as to bother to visit them in a long while. it's amuzing but overall i feel bad for them after.

your ignorance knows no bounds, dk. i chose gfx design because i didnt want to get paid drawing and eventually loathe the thing i love. gfx design utilizes the thing i love and monetizes it. i still draw, paint, and make music, but choose not to make it a career. and gfx design is an artform. art has little boundaries and is always a subjective thing. your opinion doesnt matter to people who appreciate graphic art because, after all your ranting, it is still just an opinion. and a small-minded one.

16 year old kids on myspace can use photoshop, and didn't pay some college coproation to teach them how to, and just to make themselves not look too fat on their profile pics, or pimp out their profile design.

gfx design isn't art. it's a packaged product with a clear intent to create something bland but pleasing to a large audience and not offend.

the ebst art is always offensive to someone. the best art will not please anyone. peopel say they liek van gogh only because they are told he is famous adn one of the greats. they do not truly appreciate the depth of why his work is so great. all teh see is that someone painted a flower, or used alot of blue to paint some man in a hat. they have to be told what the feeling the protrait is intended, what makes the painting great. tehy cannot gaze up on it and form their own conclusions.

nyerk, i guess that means da vinci, michelangelo, pollock, monet, and picasso arent real artists. good call on that one, glad you finally cleared the air on how artists are meant to live before fame.

and your 16 year old comment is short-sighted. a 2 year old can pick up a paintbrush and put strokes to canvas. ability =/= talent

and im not going to keep calling out your music because it means something to you and i respect that. but i made my point.

and the best art is supposed to evoke a reaction out of someone. the worse insult is being glossed over without even a second glance. offense is meant to be given.

but gfc design =/ art. it's design. art may be designed, but it's also alot more creative then makign a website or a logo look ok with marketting factors worked in. it also tends to be heaviyl derviative whiel avoding any IPR infringment.

also keep in mind, 99% of art is complete nyerk. especially the art that sells.

the problem is your interpretation of graphic design. its a general term meant to encompass a lot facets. graphic design existed before photoshop, when people used pencils. yes, its a hell of a lot easier to accomplish nowadays, but theres still a lot of theory to learn before a person can make good work. The same theories and principles were taught to da vinci. he knew how to paint, but when he understood those things, he made masterpieces.

your music isnt bad, i just got defensive. one of the best qualities of an artist is never liking their own work though. i remember reading an article about aphex twin throwing away an entire album because he didnt like it after it was finished. but im sure it was genius work.

also in our lifetimes we will have many livelihoods which are complete rubbish but we do to pay the bills. careeers even that we do not full enjoy.
