Hello!,
I'm creating a new thread because I find very hard to follow the problems related post. I have read the thread by the way, and I found one person having the same problem as myself. I tried his solution which was reinstalling the game, downloading it again to see if it was corrupted but nothing worked.
When I run the launcher, it loads fine and updates de game. After I press the button to run the game, gameguard appears and updates itself. The update is successfull and it disappears leaving only the box saying "Aion Tower of Eternity" and that's about it, it won't go past that! :(
I'm running Windows XP SP3 32bits. 2GB RAM, Gforce 8600GT I have 20GB free.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my thread!

May be a silly question, but how long did you wait? Cause the first couple times I started up the game I thought it was frozen cause it took so damn long to load up. Much longer than your typical game. Your specs seem fine to run it so that wouldn't be the case.

I'm having a similar problem... Except mine doesn't even start gameguard. It goes to Checking for updates, finishes that and then it just goes silent. Haven't had this problem during all of the closed betas and all was fine until I started getting the "This program is not available in your country" problem, so I reinstalled the game and after that it's been fucking up. Gonna try to reinstall both the launcher and the game to see if it works.

I had the same problem with my brothers PC, first, check if your computer can run aion (try something like canyourunit), if it can't, replace the peice of hardware that's too low. If you meet the minimal requirements, and it still doesn't work... Well, the thing I did was format the computer, clean windows install, clean Aion install (don't copy it from another computer), and it worked then...

Hey guys,
I have the same problem and have been troubleshooting this since yesterday morning and have not been able to get it working on my computer yet have been able to get it working on my older machine. I didn't notice this until 1 hour ago but my old computer is running Windows XP SP2 and my new computer is running Windows XP SP3. I then checked the forums and it seems many of the people who get the failed Aion load or "won't start" problem are also running SP3. I looked at the Aion official site and checked the system requirements. Both the minimum and recommended requirements clearly specify Windows XP SP2 and not SP3. This could all be a complete coincidence but at this point I'm willing to give it a shot. Now I have to figure out a way to degrade my computer back to SP2 without reinstalling my operating system :S
I'll keep you guys posted.

I am using Windows 7 RC (64-bit) and am having the same type of problem, so I don't think it's just an XP SP3 problem. I will uninstall and reinstall the game, play for awhile, and then the game crashes. Until I repeat the uninstall/reinstall process, the game will go through the update process, but never actually launch GameGuard or Aion.
