A salted hash isn't as secure as you think, 14 character random charset takes 2minutes to crack with a single ati 6990.
Added suggestion of changing email password for those who may use the same password for everything into the OP. And yeah - I know passwords aren't 100% safe when salted/hashed, but it's very dependent on how long the salt is that gets appended to the pwd before it goes through the hash. And we're talking about appropriately salted and then hashed passwords for this particular case.
The passwords are most likely to be put up against dictionary and other brute force attacks and some of them will break from that. Which is why I recommend always changing your password when something like this happens.
