Hows our arial combat?
does our defensive spells such as shields scale on S.atk?
How is our overall dmg compared to gladiators / sassins / rangers?
how many supportive buffs do we carry around?

ill answer on what i know / remember
aerial combat = our biggest advantage and our worst, we deal ALOT more damage in the air, but defense is reduced in the air (to everyone) and since our defense is already low, we become even more paper.
but since we are ranged, keep ur distance, fly and sneak around ppl thats on the ground and nuke their ***, they drop hella fast
overall damage is pretty simple, its the highest, when u talk about spike damage thats clearly the sorc, every single spell that supposed to do direct damage is going to hurt, and hurt a lot, only draw back is the cast time, which most skills has 2 sec cast time, but thats a given
other then our iron skin (damage absorb shield), we have our 3 type of robes, robe of earth - that increases some elemental defense and mana regen, robe of fire - that increases magic attack, and robe of cold - anything that hits u in the range of 30m receives some damage back and is being slowed for 4 sec.
those are the regular ones, along those we also have our stigmas
not gonna bother with the exact names but ill tell u what they do
stigma that decreases mp usage by 50% for 15 sec, 1 min cd
stigma that increases magic attack by 300 for 15 sec, 1 min cd
stigma that decreases cast time by either 15% or 25% can't recall, for 15 sec, 1 min cd
stigma that decreases cast time by either 25% or 35% again can't recall, for 15 sec, 3 min cd
hmm what else..
theres a skill that puts u into a sleep state and regens ur mp, can't really call it a buff thou.

depends what u fight, who u fight, levels, etc
fight something even to ur level, if u would use an orb u will have approx 10% chance to miss, use a book and ull miss like maybe 5%

I'm finding that misses you encounter fighting average mobs will decrease as your level goes up, perhaps when your accuracy has passed a certain threshold. Certain skills will miss more than others. CC skills are reliable for the most part.

You get like 3-4 high damage AOEs, which you'll probably only ever use in group PvP, or not, as you die real fast in group PvP. The scarcity of insta-cast skills is deeply disturbing.

Also a few more questions.
Does our damage overtime abilities release the target of Sleep Or anything alike
at the hit of the DoT, or at the first DoT appearance?
Hows our DP moves compared to other classes?
How do you enjoy playing mage?
Compared to other classes you tried so far.
Thanks in advance :skip:

Dp wise... their bleh...
2k Dp is just another nuke,
3k DP an aoe sleep,
L40 4k DP another nuke w/ bonus dmg on enemy race
L50 4k Dp an aoe nuke that deal bonus dmg to enemy race.

if u hit a slept target, whether its a poke with ur book / orb, dot, nuke, even a pat on the back, it will wake up, same with our curse tree stigma
theres one thing thou, toss on ur DoTs THEN root the mob, the mob is rooted yet still taking ur DoT damage, same with our AoE root (that winter thingie)
DP moves compared to other classes, well i dunno, played only 3, and our first DP move is simply another nuke like our Flames of Hell (eventually Flames of Hell do more damage), its helpful thou, with 2 sec cast time instead of 4, can be a life saver, the AoE sleep can be awesome for group pvp, or some tight situations in pve where u can the DP to use it.
regarding to higher lvl DP's well, haven't gotten it so i dunno :)
and i like playing mages in any MMO really, here theres good and bad, i NEVER played such a squishy character in my life, i mean seriously, u dont have ur iron skin up, ur pretty much done for, and it lasts only 5 min with 2 min cd, u can pop it on and it can vanish in 2 sec then ur pretty much screwed.
then again, we can pretty much kill anything before it even gets closer to us, our CC is one of the most important factors in instances and pvp, and of course our ENORMOUS damage.
im working on my PVP gear, stacking it with hp stones, i should hit approx 3k maybe 3.5k hp when i have it all, i hate playing class cannons, and we still do heavy damage even without having all magic boost on our gear.
this class is really enjoyable to play, and u can see its advantages right as u turn into a sorcerer, later on the disadvantages start to show more with ur squishyness, but after 31 with our first major nuke, ull forget all about that :)

As far as i know, it dosen't tick on the hit, but i dunno about how DoT's woud affect the Tree polymorph/sleep thing
:study:
ANY dmg = ANY dmg, including follow up ticks on dots that were applied before sleep.
@Tiger: no, the higher % one overwrites the lower effect afaik.

Also my last questions woud be.
Do sorc's tend to pull the hate off the tank in pve?
How is our Grinding? (with this i mean, questing, downtime, any kind of hardship's)
How big is our chances of surviving if a sassin get's the first shot?
or generally, What classes are we weak against when it comes to pvp.
And what classes do we tend to own easily
I saw this video of a sorcerer named Seyfrid or something like that,
Will typical lvl 50 pvp look like that? (1o1)

Sorcs sometimes pull aggro off tank.
Sorcs are weak against any class that can take the initial burst and/or weak against any class that can close distance.
Lv50 pvp is most time ganking in Abyss (and rifts), then everyone gathers for Fort att/def, then ganking again.
Your chance surviving an assassin 1v1 that gets the jump and knows what he/she is doing at endgame? Check Seyfried's vids, 0%.

u can easily pull hate off a tank if they fail to keep taunting every now and then.
grinding is fairly easy, find a mob that doesn't have too much hp and u can kill it in about 4-5 spells, mobs with higher hp require more attention and certain spell cycle so u would kill them without getting hit.
downtime is pretty much ur mana, i use robe of earth to help me maintain my mana better while i pve (solo, quest, dungeons) and only switch to robe of fire when i need to deal higher amounts of damage.
we can kill pretty much anything, just depends on how well u kite :p
higher lvl sins gonna **** u up, unless ur quick on using ur diminesion door and disable them right off the bat, ur pretty much dead, rangers is a big concern for us as well, since they are ranged, SM will give u some trouble also, they can silence from lvl 28 and up, and their dots hurt u since we got low hp as it is, other classes we deal with them pretty well (templars still ain't easy since they got loads of hp)
Seyfrid video shows u what end game sorc, along with end game gear can be, yep we can be beasts, also lots of pvp experience will help u get to where Seyfrid is at, that guy has all golden items, which gonna take u a serious amount of time to gain, but hey, its something to look forward too :)
