Nobody, I demand that people start paying a Tax everytime they're stupidity takes over ! The funds will revert to buy stuff from the item shop for those that can't !
So you actually think that the Eu store has gamebreaking items, and that the NA doesn't. I bet you are one of those that has long been expecting the game to go FTP so he can actually achieve something in game at the expense of those that cannot spend real money, or that are just casual players and can't be bothered to. Having scrolls that are not dispelabel is gamebreaking as it changes the game mechanics hence it inbalances the game in favour of certain classes, I am also beting you are a melee.
Having weapons or armours droped in game just to try and lure people to the cash shop ...is ridiculous. There are those that actually enjoy leveling chars and that enjoy playing with them. Twinks are a big part of this agme since the first cap was reached. They screwed it up with veteran rewards and then had to limit the damage through rift limitation (breaking game mechanics)... it is stupid to see people reach lvl 55 with 25 kills ... but then again I can see where you coming from...SW doesn t count as pvp kill....
1. It's not "they're", it's "their".
2. The PREMIUM title speaks for itself. If you have Premium, you have 5x more advantages than the ones that doesn't.
I never did and never will buy anything from the cash shop. So everyone that is implying that, you better review your thoughs. I will, however, buy those items INGAME, paying with KINAH, the Kinah that I am yet to grind for! Not that we got that clear, let's move on!
3. Yes I am a melee, and good SMs don't have problems kiting me after they dispelled me and I rescrolled my running scroll. Sorry if you are that bad and can't do it too!
4. On the matter of the Tahabata weapon: yes, I think that it's a little too much, but it's going to be an outdated weapon on 3.0. YES I KNOW THAT IT'S A DECENT COMBINE, but it's not a good enough reason for all this QQ, really.

What kind of argument is that? Everyone else has to deal with people running away without being able rely on a spammable 25m range slow, i'm sure decent sms can cope with this.
I understand that seeing the class you're playing nerfed is never easy to accept, but honestly scroll dispelling has always been one of the biggest bs in this game, especially considering there's more than one, all on a ridicolously low cd and some of them are castable on the move. As it's already been said, buff dispelling would be enough. To be honest 1 hour undispellable scrolls are the only thing i'd like to see in EU shop, scrolling up with 7 scrolls every 5 mins, with a 15 sec delay between them is annoying beyond belief.
5. I agree 100% on this.

It makes the scrolls pay 2 win as it has an advantage over normal scrolls.
Oh and I was kind enough to bring the main argument back up. Apparently I de-railed it.
It helps us to kite, it helps us to not chase after our fears for the entire bloody duration, it helps us to make our own escape, it helps us cast just a bit faster and it can make a difference between victory and defeat. Yes Chain of Earth is awesome, but having one additional "slow" helps.
6. Again, the scrolls are tradeable. You will be able to buy them ingame, with Kinah. You don't have to spend RL money if you don't want to. Also, read 3.

Greetings, f2p lineage 2 player here! Konkers is either deliberately trolling for the lols or is an ncsoft employee. Let me break this down for you guys: ncsoft is doing exactly what they did for lineage 2. When l2 went f2p, they offered current subscribers the option to basically buy dynasty weapons which would be sorta kinda be an aion lvl 50 eternal item equivilent. These things vendored for about 45 million adena so of course, after some quick math anyone with half a brain figured out that this was a really cheap way to buy infinite amounts of adena (lineage 2 versions of money/kinah) and so they did.
7. Neither and read 4.

Then they released a very limited cash shop with semingly harmless items and xp boosts. After people bought those up, they released stronger versions of said items which of course, made lots of people mad for wasting time and money on the nyerkty versions. Then they released even stronger stuff of the same flavor plus new items. In order to pretend the game wasnt pay to win, they made these safe enchant items for weapons "limited time only". Which of course, is bullnyerk. Because lineage 2 is no spring chicken, all the rich people who have cheated for years went ahead and bought their 5 grand worth of safe enchant scrolls and got the best gear in the game over night. Then when the limited time items were removed, ncsoft replaced them with safe enchant items for armor, and so on. They will undoubtably do the same nyerking thing for aion. So all of you wondering where the suppliments are, they are coming in a few months. They will be part of special packages and limited time holiday offers or some other wordy bullnyerk.
8. They have been doing this with Aion even when it was P2P, with the "100% Manastone for a limited time" thing... I don't know why you guys are making a huge deal out of this now that the game is F2P.
And I agree that they will continue to do it and it will get worst, it always does. But guess what? I don't care because I won't be playing Aion by the tima that that happens, GW2 will be out by then, hopefully.

The purpose of a cash shop isn't to sell convience or power, it's to make ncsoft money. So ncsoft will slowly roll out bigger and better items as time goes on, under the impression that the people who buy something once, will buy something again. These tahabata weapons are how they are going to get most of you on board with the cash shop thing. After all, you'd be really foolish to pass up a tahbahata weapon for 45 bucks. I played aion for 2 years and never got that nyerking thing to drop and Im sure most of you have had the same experience.
9. Agreed partialy. The tahabata weapon is not worth 45 bucks at this stage in the game, specially with the new weapons on 3.0
nlaue, on 07 April 2012 - 01:23 PM, said:
So yes, this nyerk is pay 2 win, and it will get worse. The latest lineage item was a limited time powershirt (10 dollars) which you could enchant (cost more real life money), which gave extra bonuses per enchantment including temporary invulability. These bonuses outshined any other single piece of gear in the game and it was a requirement to buy these shirts if you even wanted to pretend to remain relevant in the pvp scene.
10. No, it's not Pay to Win if you can buy the items with the ingame currency. (Ecxept for the Tahabata weapon, but then again it's not a big deal imho).

I certainly will be coming back to aion for f2p and milking this game for all its worth as a nonpaying member of the community, but those of you expecting to remain ontop in pvp or pve while not dropping 20+ a month or more per account are going to be sorely mistaken. Lineage 2 went from 15$ a month with 1 hour of 50% bonus exp and 4 hours of boosted exp a week to 0 hours of 50% bonus exp and 0 hours of boosted exp week for free. If you wanted to buy that boosted exp back it cost 15 dollars a week. If you wanted to buy the boosted exp it cost even more. Right now, the f2p lineage 2 costs 60 dollars a month, minimum, per character per account to exp at the same rate you could at p2p. AND THATS JUST TO BUY BACK WHAT YOU LOST FROM THE 15 DOLLAR A MONTH TRANSITION TO "FREE TO PLAY". That doesn't count the thousands of dollars players have spent on OTHER things. So keep that in mind. Ncsoft doesnt care about you, it's game, or it's community. Ncwest is whoring itself out in lineage 2, and dont be surprised when they start whoring out aion. After all, there is absolutely nothing you can do to stop them. What are you gonna do about it, quit? HA.
11. It doesn't change the fact that you can play the game and make use of all it's features for free. The EXP bonuses were a plus. Sure it sucks, but at least in Aion you will be able to buy most of the cash shop items by using the ingame currency (Kinah).

The choices right now are EU Aion or Korean Aion. Both are doable, although the ping time is a bit large for some classes. For those that love their characters... yeah, they're screwed. But then if they're just playing dress up as casuals it won't be a big deal. Which is what makes sense for the whole marketing scheme. I won't say the people behind it aren't smart, but they're sure as hell evil as nyerk.
The test server would also be viable and I think that's the reason they're thinking of getting rid of it.
You got to that conclusion because of a level 50 weapon and undispelable scrolls that you can buy with Kinah ingame? OK THEN. LOL.
Sorry about the grammar errors. You will probably find a lot! English is not my 1st language.
