At least they're trying to do something, unlike NCwest who havent been able to reimplement an anti-cheat program for several years.

Remember tho that GG caused nothing but tons of problems with legit software and is rootkit as well that is hard to remove. Dont like the idea of another placebo anti-cheat program that'll probably be rendered useless and more of an annoyance to legit players than an effective way of solving cheaters etc. Also concerned that itll have rootkit like abilities since theres little info I can see about it that will force me to cripple it in the same way Fyyre crushed GGs balls from affecing legitimate programs.

They can easily ban exploiters by simple log monitoring on the server side, like NC West did twice I think.
Implementing stupid clientside protection will result in massive whining and negative feedback from players.
Bots will bypass this crappy protection in 5 minutes, so I really don't see a point.

Because while most of the bots and hack script can be detected and block by a "simple" script made by a good solo programer, they buy softwares that has absolutly no use and most of the time, cause more problems than it solves or will be bypassed in no time.

I heard that on the aionscript/tools creator firum, he says that he already have erverything ready so hackshield won't do nyerk

why can't companies just hire a couple of wizkids that build the perfect anti-hack tool
and let them update it everytime something new get's released.

How hard could that really be, I mean, this new software they are buying, just google it up, it'll get you to sites that offer you free software to bypass it.

Seriously :

GG / HackShield / whatever soft : made by professionnalS who worked weeks / months on it

Bypassers : made by one random skinny guy in a couple of hour

Something like that. It's cheaper for them to use hackshield/gameguard. It should filter some hacks but it wont stop the experienced hackers.

Dude, get your head out of your ass. They will write bypasses faster then the people can update it.
Its like antivirus software but they actually hire people to write viruses that cant be detected so they can implement an update and "fix" it so they can sell more copies.

A perfect anti hack tool will never exist if they will try and get this stuff up and running 1second later there will be a guy who will ask money to bypass is and he will update it everytime too cause he gets payed for it aswell so basically: there is no solution.

Making a tool that detects strange things in the logs shouldnt be hard >.>

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy easier solution is to pay to someone that can just simply monitor all these people that get reported and inspect the logs and.... just ban them?...

Imo,aint hard to pay a guy that can play a sin who can be in perma Shadow Walk(or w/e hide skill) and follow every "suspecious" player till he got a solid proof for him cheating...

GM hide3 ("invis", not skill)... but that'd cost to pay someone for such, costs less to make cheap crap software.

Again, its a vicous circle. GF brings out a anti hack tool someone cracks it and sells it. GF updates it the hacker updates it so u can go on and on and on and on. Again: There is no bulletproof solution.

I know you are from Spatalos but can you read at all?...

IF someone "cracks" the anti-hack tool he will ask for MORE money for his code and cheat since he has put more efforts in going around the GF defence... now when the hackshields or w/e defences are nyerk more and more people are making their own bots,cheats... which results in more people cheating,abusing game's unwilligness to cure itself.
