fallout mmo would be 100000000000000000000000x more interesting than elder scrolls.
Mostly because i never like elder scrolls except for the music
But then i think the ghost of interplay has some rights for a fallout mmo, so things are kinda up in the air when it comes to fallout.

The huge buffs and nerfs on classes that made people rage quit were not as awesome.
Interesting that some mythic people found a home elsewhere though.

i mean you hear so nyerking much about how it had the best pvp evar and amazing combat and yet you look at videos it's this nyerkty unrepsonsive slideshow of 2 minute mezzes.
nevermind that if it was so amazing why did it fail to even surpass swg in terms of subs(swg peaked at around 300k subs).
nevermind that people go on and on and on about 3factions being perfect for faction balance and when you get them to open up about why they think that they always cite some example of the weekend/week when the two smaller factions banded together to fight back against albion that one time for all of a few days.
i' m sure it was a nice game and all, but frankly it looks like nyerk from the videos and i'm nyerking sick and tired of hearing about it lately.
i'm also sick and nyerkign tired of hearing about warhammer.

where as i have an argument about low fps in mass pvp with daoc fans, and post random videos of it that show low fps and lag, and they're like "you need glasses bro, that's super high fps and smooth and not lag or low fps at all"
and that's part of what's nyerking annoying. because daoc fans can't admit the game had any faults at all.
i can run down a laundry list of things i hated/disliked about l2. but certain parts of it still make my personal fantasy we dream mmo stuff.
no game is perfect. and pretending that daoc was, is what makes people like me sick of hearing about how every single nyerking game should be exactly like it, or is going to be perfect/amazing because it has some attributes of it, or has some guy that worked on it.
where as i don't automatically assumed tera or archage are going to be nyerking amazing or perfect simply because it's the l2 team or it as similar systems to l2 or w/e. i look at those games and try to get an accurate picture of them based on credible opinions of people like those that post in this forum, videos, in game play, and run downs of their systems, and then i think about that stuff and look for the pros and cons of those games.
where as even in gw2 with wvw you hear alot about how it's going to be perfect, adn the only reason given is "because thye copued daoc" where as alot of obvious differences between wvw and daoc frontiers, and some of the stuff these people claim about 3 teams, the opposite was seen this past weekend. in fact alot of the wvw stuff really reminded me alot of different parts of l2 sieges, and it's got me wondering hwo some of those things will translate well o rbadly into 2 week matches, vs l2's 2 hour timer on sieges.

relate it to any show youve loved on tv that got canceled before it reached a 2nd season. some of those shows are superior to 90% of the other crap out there, but for whatever reason (cost, promotion, etc.) it didnt get any love.

revisionist history is nice and all, kidna like how swg pre cu was totally the best ever and cu ruined everythjing(it was really pretty minor compared to some wow content/balance/expack patches)
and how l2 c5 was supposed to be the best epxanion for the game ever but retail was crwoded with bots (it had bots sure, but not that bad, and c5 wasn't bad either, but the best?) and how it's the mos tgrindy game ever, when american mmo's before wow had similar method of grinding, worse level curves, and far harsher death penalties.
and how wow copied eq in every way, and how eq raiding took so much skill than wow raiding because of the palidan class you hadd do the supe rhard twisting thing where you press 3 buttons in order one button per second while running around... oh so hard...
it' snsotalgia glasses, and right now every one is dry humping daoc.

You rarely find that in any game these days. I found it in Pirates of the Burning Sea when it first launched. I remember an epic battle of like 8 against 20 ships or something on that order and through strategy the 8 managed to hold on until the end and were able to tie the battle. They later changed that though.
The 8v8's that roamed around were apparently pretty epic too.
Of course, a lot of those same people I played with that loved daoc also left it for class balancing issues. So, meh.

funny thing about l2 vs daoc is l2 did better in the west than daoc did, but you don't hear l2 vets ranting in every new game about how they have to copy l2 in every way or else the game will fail.
although on the other side of that, alot of us did think aion would do better becaue ncsoft +mass pvp game, and alot of l2 vets banking on tera because bluehole is the OG l2 team.
generally though l2 remains at the core of my own personal wet drema fntasy of an mmo
l2's lack of hard player factions, the clan war/pk system, crafting/methods of farming mats/sell shops(though with sell shops i'd like to have it where you can spawn a booth then go do w/e game play instead of having to leave your client online all day and night not playing), wow's addons, quality of life stuff, maybe cata style questing, rift's endgame rifts(raid rifts, crafting rifts), and gw2's combat and hearts and de's. also l2's siege/castle/manor system.
people see special pvp map and 3 factions and start ranting madly about daoc and it's annoying as nyerk.

i guess my main concern, again would be the fact that bethesda is absolutely nyerk at balancing classes/skills/schools/etc in theri sp games, so i wonder how bad it will be in this mmo with pvp and such going on. ofc thye very well may go with a mor eold school apprach to balance, where there are some very obvious alpha classes and go for very obvious fotm classes in each balance patch.
