Hey all,

With the upcomming 3.0 for us and some already enjoying it I wonder.. What could be the best polarm combine if you chose not to go extendable?

I myself consider 3 options...

Option 1.
Front. New Abyss 60 Polearm conditioned
Back (Combine). Master Carved 55 Polearm

Pro's. All bonusses Acc, Parry, HP, Crit and Attack
Con's. Lower base damage due to base stats of 60 Abyss polearm and 5 slots in combine

Option 2.
Front. Vasharti (instance) Polearm
Back (Combine). New Abyss 60 Polearm conditioned

Pro's. Crit, Attack and Acc
Con's. Average base stats, better than abyss, worse than balic 60. Also 5 slots only on main (unless lucky - dropping 6 slot)

Option 3.
Front. Balic 60
Back (Combine). New Abyss 60 Polearm conditioned

Pro's. Crit, Attack, highest base damage and 6 slots
Con's. Lack of any bonus stat besides crit and attack

I don't like to discuss the price/effort to get it. I simply want to hear opinions as which combine options you see best and why.

Also if you consider any other combinations better please post em!

Trust me, it's not even close to 'upcoming'. Euro players shouldn't be shocked if you don't get the pacth for at least another 8 weeks.

I know we'll receive it in the summer and they still need to start translating to french u.u

as u ll see i m a huge Fan of accu in general, cause as gladi ther arent many things in Aion that give urself such satisfaction as KDing a Temp 4+times per fight when they hav UD up(and after patch3,0 even more when UD gets nerfed)

as for lower DPS:
seeing 85% or even more of korean glads still use extend+15s and they are still pretty capable. means to me DPS isnt highest priority for glad.

I rather put a master carved behind than 55 balic, cause it has same/better stats + additional stats (only downside is 1 manaslot).

This is indeed worth considering hp wise, tho I am actually curious as towards the new parry skill that heals. Wether it's worth going parry in 3.0... I am curious how it'd work and if you can ever configure a balanced stigma setup without tomuch sacrafise for it..

I got my bakarma +15 + 40e, both full acc socketted.. I made it this way so it would work well in 3.0. Tho I consider getting a high dmg polearm also.

Option 4 : play EU Aion and never get 3.0

Option 5 : get a Zapiel/Bakarma and keep killing people that say "lol extend R dead since 2.0 u noob" like if nothing happened

it's still 2.7k with food! should be good for a while cezi.. can always drop a bit of crit.. and make it more if needed! but for now 2.7k seems more than enough..

But give us your opinion on 3.0 eternal weapons cezi!

=860crit & 2,6k accu





but lets go back to topic:

whats the only thing polearms in general are lacking?
in my opinion its always accu.
ok there is also a huge dmgRange between minDMG and maxDMG, buts thats something u cannot help/change

with 2,1k accu u alrdy missing too many hits vs leather and getting too many parrys/block from plate/chain
with 2,6 its rly good

considering next Patch will raise baseEvasion from Char and the Evasion they get from new Armors
and also considering that almost every Templar will run around with a Shield after the Patch(yeye whenever it comes),
my guess is that 2,8k accu will be ok.thats another 7-8sockets u need. means loosing crit: -119crit or even -146crit

so at least on Spear in the Combo should have +1xx accu
thats why the APspear/Padmarashka's/Balic55gold-eternal/Tahabatas are the Spears that need to be in the Combo

the Balic60 might have the highest base and 6socks but only the Lack of HP makes it useless compared to many other Poles. It doesnt even have a 4th Bonus so thats already completely out of question. And the one Sock can give u +500HP or noticeably high amount of Parry.

a 60APeternal combo'd with balic55 already means around +300accu, means u can safe some socks for Accu or HP.
Padmarashkas/Tahabatas: 5Bonuses including 490+HP and 140+Accu
55Balic is a nice alrounder in gold Version and much better in EternalVersion, having nice AccuBonus but loosing 250-300+HP. Still good +baseDMg and parry though


btw the new CoinSpear isnt a bad weapon either. good +base cause 56+weap, but very nice 537+HP. no accu though

I got atm balic 55 eternal +12 with merged with ABG. I guess it's not an outdated spear even for 3.0.

5 lvls difference might not be as big a difference
10 lvls however....
and a lot of bakarma users still play like they have a non-extend anyway..

10LVLs is still good. check korean gladTopLists
but ye ofc MANY MANY ExtendUsers just go get/buy the Drop and never learn to use it. But its not like there arent any Sorcs out there, who dont know how to make DPS...same thing/playertype
