Greetings,

I am a 40lv rank 5 ranger geared in blue silver coin gear. My problem is that im getting my arse kicked by literally everything that even sneezes at me. It was pretty okay through 25-35, got my share of kills but right now it's extremely frustrating, my char hits like a girl and i die most of the time.

I'd like to get some better gear but as im pretty much a newbie not sure what are the choices. Heard that even 30lv AP gear is pretty good, but i don't really know how to effectively gain AP... tried farming 40 balaur mobs but it's mindnumbingly boring and gives laughable amounts, quests either end or give bad AP, pvp is inconsistent. Heard that you can run fortress chambers for AP, is it true? Any other options? Also, how to get these medals needed for yellow AP gear?

Getting Pvp gear will always help, even if it is the level 30 elite, i dont know what server you are on or if you encounter twinks, as for myself i have the 30 elite set but use it for aether gathering since when i got my 50 elite pvp gear my ranger was level 50, it really depends on what you want to do with your ranger.

Do you intend to stay at level 40? or goto level 50 and stay as a level 50 twink for the old dredgion and rifting, if your using pve gear in pvp then its going to be really hard and same goes for gaurd farming will be difficult to get geared this way it took me a few days each peice grinding on my Asmodian Assasin to get a level 30 elite peice, i cant obviouly decide for you about what you should get but as a twink the obvious choice is 40/50 elite 40 elite set as its easy to enchant and later the 50 elite.

a good bow ill always help with your damage, i know of the betoni's bow quest chain that you can use to get a gold bow but it has no attack speed, combined weapons will also increase your damage as well, as for the AP from lower level fortresses from experience it is not really worth it a the time spent in a 6 man group gaining around 5k AP as a rough estimate would not be worth it, the only way you can make lower forts Ap profitable is if you have 2 players one with cleric level 55 and the other a templar run the instance and loot the chests, if your wanting ap badly i would probably suggest waiting till your server is at its lowest population like early mornings and late night before people sleep average about 5k an hour AP un interupted, but i remember needing alot of pots at that level.

I planned to stick to 40 for some time and pvp, not neccessarily twink myself out, but judging from the gap between me and the usual person i encounter i might revise that plan. Im getting a better bow for sure, and i'll fuse it with an atk spd bow.

And if i'll get a friend chanter to farm the lower forts with me? 5k AP/h sounds quite okay, especially that it seems that there is no consistent way to farm it.

Also, could you tell me what is the medal currency required for better abyss armors, and how to acquire it?
