[Byakushi]

Hello all! I'm here to share a short guide on how to manually install NCsoft's Aion NA. I'm doing this because I had problems with the NCsoft launcher, it would literally shut down my PC, and every other "manual install" fix I found was a riddle of dead-links and outdated files. I hope this can help any one having trouble installing the NCsoft Aion game.

First
You will need to download the NCsoft Launcher if you don't have it.
You can get the launcher here: http://us.ncsoft.com...t-launcher.html

Don't open your launcher yet, just leave it closed we'll work with it later.

Next You'll need to download the Aion NA Files.

Below is the list of parts for a direct download. I apologize about amount of them, but this was the only way i could get the files to upload without timing out on me.

The most efficient way to download these would be to use FlashGet or JDownloader and copy/paste the URL list below into their link grabbers.

If any of the parts listed above display as corrupt when you extract them please tell me which ones and I'll replace them with new files.

Second

Ok now that we have our files lets extract/unzip the Aion client to (C:\Program Files\NCsoft)

Once unzipped your folder should look like this:

It's that simple. Now lets open our launcher.
My launcher automatically recognized that my game was "installed" but yours may not. In this case click your Aion tab in the NCsoft launcher and then click Properties.

Once that opens set the "Install Location" to the Aion folder (or Aion.bin) which is typically (C:\Program Files\NCsoft\Aion)

after that the NCsoft launcher should recognize your game.

After all that simply click the Aion tab and select Repair When finished start your game and it should work.

Third

If, when you try to start your game after repairing it, it displays an (1024) X Failed to initialize the game Error there are three ways to fix it. Do not worry this seems to be a common error.

Error Fix One: Simply Repair once more. This fix worked for myself.

Error Fix Two: NCsoft Recommends this fix for this error.
1. Browse to your Aion installation folder (default: C:Program Files\NCsoft\Aion).
2. Delete the L10N folder.
3. Start the NCsoft Launcher.
4. Right-click the Aion entry in the NCsoft Launcher and choose Repair (Consistency Check).
Let the repair complete and try the game again.

Error Fix Three: NCsoft Recommends this fix for this error if you are running another language.
1. Right-click the Aion entry in the NCsoft Launcher.
2. Choose Properties.
3. Click the Language Options button (under Install Location).
4. Uncheck the German and French languages if either are currently selected, and be sure that the drop-down menu has "English" selected.
5. Click OK there and on the Aion Properties window.


That's all I hope this worked for you. I've tested it on more than one PC and I've had nothing but success.

This is the entire game...It's my Aion folder Directly compressed to a zip file.

I am sorry for the lack of seeders, I am doing my best to seed but alas I can not keep my PC on all day.

To make up for the lack of seeds I've tried to compile a direct download. I hope that helps.
