yeah i think it's interesting in tsw's case in particular. there were a number of people doign a better job of promoting the game for a lot longer of time with videos and streams and fansites and such, and they get almost no love short of permission to stream selected content on off beta weekend times.

then she shows up and makes videos with 10 views each and for some reason they promote her over the rest of us.


ofc they also did that founding cabal thing where many of the winners have already moved on, as they picked mostly guilds with no or minimal prior interest in the game, some of whome then proceeded to talk down to us while self promoting their recruitment efforts while asking hilarious questions.
