I'd like to know how your excitement about Aion is evolving. I used to be sooo excited about this game, but since a few weeks my hype is going down very fast. The main reasons are the bots and the time I still have to wait for a EU release.

So, how about you?

Aion does not by any means live up to the hype we've created for it, not many people will debate that.

Having said that it's still a fun game and by the time NA comes out I'll be on my third play-through and still going strong hahah, these gorgeous wings get me every time...

I always thought the folks living on AionSource over-hyped the poor game. I was waiting for Aion, of course, but I was never overly excited about it.

Now that I'm playing it in China, i'm loving it more than any game I've ever played before. So, for me, yes, the excitement has increased.

Still hyped.

Chinese retail feels like training.

Well my hype has reduced from a few months ago. Partially since I got a job and been spending more time doing RL stuff.

But after the recent push forward for the release date, my hyp-o-meter is rising! :sparkles:

I must get into a preview event no matter what. :flames:. No fair that so many people have played it and I havent. :hmm:

Never really followed it until a couple months ago, when everything I was looking forward to seemed to not be living up to expectations. My hype has increased after playing Chinese Retail.

at first I though it was gonna be simply stunning and beautiful exploring this huge magical world(not only horizontal but vertically too) with wings and superb graphics, every person I'd met would look different and unique but playing chinese retail, it's just your standard MMORPG that does nothing particularly breathtaking or exciting

it's not my fault I was that hyped, blame the enhanced screens and devs

Played enough to realize that my initial fears were correct; it's your standard level-beats-gear-beats-class-beats-skill MMO, although it's much more thought through and OMG SHINY than anything else currently on the market.

It probably won't be my #1 game when it comes out; putting my hopes into Champions Online for now, at least CoH was a very thought-out game that managed to blend Guild Wars-like complexity and balance with (for an MMO) fast paced gameplay.

EDIT: Yes, I love waiting for games to come out, thank you very much for that incredibly astute observation..
