It's in beta and it's kind of like a cross between Minecraft with pilgrims and Darkfall with perma death. Which means that it's just kind of a bizarre combination of things. It's completely free and so you won't lose any sleep over spending cash if you don't like the style of it.

Hah, I raged unexpectedly fast...need 2 maple leaves....dozens of maple trees with tons of leaves...can I get sum? Nop. Damn you Nobody, I blame you for my 30min leaf chase!

yeah, I noticed that as you raise stats and get more skills you start "mysteriously" finding a lot more stuff. I feel lucky that I was only going for stones and chesnuts in the beginning and the random port thingy set me down in the middle of a pine forest :P

Edit: Oh, blackberries for BB, fish in the reeds (it's cooked) for YB along with blue mushrooms, berries on a stick for the red blood, and cooked snails for the last humour.

Fishing was somewhat amusing - Think of England!

Mm, I had a problem only on starter area, before you port outta Boston. No leaves, no rocks, no flint...after writing that post I found a stone and flint \o/. Sadly, I think my life is fueled by complaints, the more I complain, the faster something happens...

Anyway, I spent two hours wondering around, picking up stuff, trying to make thingies, getting high on shrooms. Made a fire, tried to roast snails...no go, raged a bit more, wth, I haz fire, why u no work. Found some uber fortresses of other players, got lost as hell, dunno where I was at. Decided to go to sleep and google the stuff at work.

I've got my leanto and I learned to swim. Swimming is... remarkably hazardous as it drains one of the humours and if it goes to 0 you get KO'd.

Which land are you guys in? I'm in Roanoke.

I've been playing as Snozzle on Roanoke.

Edit: And I've been noticing that the AI of the critters seems to change as you level up. At first the bears just kind of stood around looking derpy. Now they and every snake in the woods chase me forever.

Dunno for AI, seems you randomy aggro them sometimes...I know a snake was chasing and KO-d my ass near the start of the game. Never tried to get close to a bear tho...rawr. Well, I can kill beavers now, yay, finally I can haz leather, stomp for the win. I had to spend like 2 days terraforming my place, couldn't find a nice flat land, but now it's like a huge "come here bro" spot on the map. Have skills for farming, mining, smithing and all that nyerk, but no nails...damn silver, I always suck at making money. Interestingly enough, after playing this I just can't seem to log in to GW2...dayum, need more time for playing everything *quits job*.

I'm with you there. I spent what must have been hours making my land flat and then I got the plot, but not enough cash flow to feel comfortable about it. Those feather arrowhead trinkets are decent for money, but just not common enough. Crickets are better for money, but they take sooooooo long.

I want a horse. There are supposedly horses going into the game, but it's still in it's early phases... and mines are kinda cool with the way they're done in their own instance.

Mh, don't get me started on mines. I literally spent hours and hours looking for a mine. When I at last found two (like 20-30 min walk away from my home) ofc both were claimed (with no mine on them).

Then I read that the quality of the rod you search with affects this...and since I had no dowsing thingies I had to buy them...500s a pop, well, no problemo *2-3 rabbit/beaver massacres later*. Then I spend hours and hours with my new shiney dowsing rod walking in circles and ofc, nothing.

Then some retard decided to raid me again and take all my stuff. I also saw a vid of high level toon tanking like 20+ braziers while raping walls no probs and decided to GTFO. Cba to play a game where you can't protect your nyerk and high humours ppl have such an advantage that a pack of them can effectively terrorize an entire server (dat MM Tribe on server I'm on..u no pay em' tax, u die, along with all ur stuff).

Btw, you can kill crickets in 2 hits...just stomp->uppercut. If u hit the animals while they're stunned uppercut deals uber damage.I was at 20-ish all humours and uppercut did 7,4 damage, like 3 times what a normal hit did. Just have to get used to run away from critter, use stomp at right time so you don't get interrupted and upper cut the beastie.

yeah, I'm agreeing with you although it is beta. But just because it's beta doesn't make it right. So I'm looking at ArcheAge now
