today I sent an e-mail to Volker regarding GF not adding the FTS in 3.5 update.
He replied to me via twitter, saying he is not wiling to answer my email because it is full of use of Capslock. Myself I just think he is annoyed because I 'attacked' him and his way of handeling things regarding to AION EU.

I don't know why Gameforge seems so ignorant to these issues, but you know that almost the whole cumminty wants it and thinks that a FTS is needed.

Imagine how annoying this is; You're a low level player, not into PVP at all and trying to finish quests and grinding mobs in Heiron/eltnen or whatever. You simply like to PVE. THIS WAY Aion forces you to PVP, even if you don't like it at all. Imagine how annoying it is getting killed by level 60 players with nothing else to do, just killing low level players for the fun.. and also 3.5 will remove the curse, so the curse is also history.

We simply NEED the FTS in order to level without the worry of PVP.. You remember why old servers still have the protection buffs right?!
The main thing about having a FTS is not about leveling faster, no dear Volker, it's all about leveling savely WITHOUT the worry of level 60 players gank you all the time while just questing. Main PVP is allready not rifting anymore, MAIN pvp is in the new regions; example the eye of tiamat.

And I got some other news; with the 4.0 update; rifts will be open till 65 aswell. Korea designed it this way, and it's very sad to see Gameforge comes in and cut out half the things of our patches.......

Why don't you even LISTEN to your own playerbase?! You're just doing it because YOU think it's the best.. But this time you're certainly wrong.
Come to the forum and read all complaints about the FTS, just for fun, because we know Gameforge won't even reconsider adding the FTS with aion 3.5.

If the Gameforges main goal is to cut out all the nice things of patches, not delivering what should be delivered, it's time for aion to get a new publisher.

And you know; Gameforge's reputation in the gaming industry is not very good allready, and it will get worse.
And even your own staff is disappointed about this, even CM'S/Moderators etc don't understand this whole policy of not adding the FTS.

I ask you; do they even have a voice in your company, or are they just puppets doing everything you ask them to do?

I hope you still want to reconsider this whole debacle, because this is ridiculous. Just take a peek at the forum and you will see.

Second, you are stating the views of the player base randomly , did u do a survey ? Do u have certified statistics ? Is there any proof of what u say abt the playerbase? And finally have u been delegated to speak on the behalf of the player base ?

Those are obviously nyerking BS excuses, as they said FTS will eventually come, it's 200% clear they are just making time, since FTS = more work = possibly new server hardware = more staff working time used on setting it up = more time needed to learn/understand how to deploy and support the new feature, etc etc, these nyerking cockroaches throw any lame excuses they can think of to pretend to justify their actions without disclosing the real reason = they are a nyerking failure.

I honestly think that giving FTS for new comers is pointless - u already lvl up so fast that you can skip half of the quests we were doing year ago....

I think you should all re-read this and try to understand it.

What you express is at most the opinion of a minority. You do not have access to all the business information that decisions are made on. You do not have access to the company's strategy and action plan and cost structure and everything.

As a customer of the company you have all the rights to express your opinions, but whether you like it or not decisions will be made based on business analyses not your opinions.

Just think about Apple and their products. Think about the rage they most of the time cause with their business model. Cry as they might, they will not give their customers what they ask for because it would not be good for their business.

erm , i didnt state my opinion on the matter yet , so im not sure who u r replying to . all im saying that he should start a petition or something before he sends that mail . that was my opinion , i never said i was with or against him .

Having given this topic some thought there are a couple of things which some players might mot understand.

NCSoft themselves have now decided that while 3.5 was intended to spread out PVP with all map rifts with guards that drop mithril coins or ancient AP crowns, they have been now been mostly removed in 3.7 so NCSoft gave GF consent to block it as they themselves now feel 3.5 was a mistake, on the other hand the DF dungeon finder cross server platform has been a great success and Gameforge have not yet managed to implement it with only a promise that they will in 3.7 still months before it will be officially released in Europe.
So on one hand they could be justified to temporarily restrict lvl60 rifting but on the other there are still technical issues for implementing FTS/DF with long unacceptable delays before the rifting block can be lifted.

So yes the announcement might be an excuse because Gameforge have not found a way to implement FTS with 3.5 however they are doing it with NCSoft's co-operation as their devs still produce the modified Aion EU code.
Overall it looks like Gameforge are more hung up with technical issues related to implementing FTS or DF than anything else.
Volker is only telling us half the story and uses the excuse that they are not allowed to divulge the rest, this is a bad way to communicate, instead of admitting that GF don't yet the right team to do it on time!
If this is a fault of lack of investment by GF superiors or just plain incompetence nobody really knows.

It's all very frustrating for Aion EU core fans, and their anger or rage has been well justified.
