Hello everyone, I just reactivated my account after around 2 years of not playing and needless to say, I have no idea whats going on.

I plan on starting fresh and making a new character, but I have a couple of higher level characters on 2 different servers from the first and 2nd time I played the game. One is on Israphel(Elyos) and the other is on Tiamat(asmo) and its always nice to have the resources of a higher level character when you need them. But anyway, I was just wondering out of the 4 servers for NA to play, which is the most active/friendly, and for which faction.
So that's the main reason I'm here, but I was also wondering if anyone could kind of give me a quick idea of what everyone who still plays is up to right now, and if any classes are either really overpowered or useless at this point.

In general I'm just a player coming back to a game I used to really enjoy, and I'm looking for the wisdom of someone who has a firm idea of whats been going on in the game recently.
I will also be looking around the forums for a general feel of the game, but some things its hard to find out unless you directly ask.

Whelp, the big news was that everything went free 2 play and NA Aion jettisoned EU Aion to a company that the fans don't seem to like. Outside of that - look at previous or even up and coming patch notes. Most notably 3.0 (housing) and 3.5 (rift changes and I think that was when the leveling server came in NA) for the recent stuff and 4.0 for the Korean to come soon stuff (3 new classes soon to come).

Kahrun is the newer NA server, although I always like the older ones like Siel. The classes you think are strong are likely still strong and the ones you remember as weak are weak. You will want to level on the leveling server, so everybody from all servers will be there while you're leveling.
