once you learn how you can avoid and ignore metro(modern) ui in win8 though, it becomes a very decent upgrade from win7, with alot of improvements to the ui usage paradigms started with vista and 7.

i'm treating it as a vista 2.0, as in will not buy.

The minor upgrades from 7 are not worth it, the only really good things on it are the faster boot up and format, other than that i dont really care.

Going to use 7 until a better one comes out pretty much like i did with windows xp until 7 came out.

vista pre sp1 > xp pre sp2 btw visa sp 1 > xp sp2



yeah if you have 7 there's not much reason to upgrade unless you build a new pc. and tbh after the intro price ends i'd think long and hard about choosing between 7 and 8.


i've heard people claim it's faster like games perform better and nyerk but i haven't really seen anything to indicate that. i mean the desktop is repsonsive faster on boot but beyond that...
