A few of us mod-type people have talked and decided a news post would be a good idea in light of what's gone on today.

First of all, to fill in those who are just learning of the day's events, Curse has had to make some executive decisions concerning the administration of AionSource. As a result, Mark is no longer the forum Admin.

It is my STRONG belief that the job of a website administrator in this case is to report the news and remain neutral when presenting it. If the users want to banter and discuss the ups and downs of the latest news I think that's excellent and by all means I encourage it, but for the reasons listed above having an administrator openly talk bad about other websites or the game is arguebly bad for the community, damages relationships we work very hard to build, and in my opinion incredibly unprofessional.

Directly relating to the actions taken this morning, the release of data before its time was an unfortunate mistake - not something that would normally lead to releasing someone as a site manager. The actions taken AFTERWARDS however are what caused great concern for us - If you have specific questions about the events we can discuss it over IRC sometime - no problem.

Please believe me when I promise you we are working on some INCREDIBLE things for AionSource and we've devoted lots of resources into making it the number one Aion Fansite in the world. I don't make promises lightly - we will do better.

We're going to start off by me meeting with all current mods to discuss the state of the site, and working on as many current improvements as possible, we're going to be adding some things which I'll be detailing in the very very near future that should make every Aion loving glub crack a large smile! :)

We're also going to start rebuilding relationships that might have been damaged and as a result of the rebuilding I'm hoping to have more things to offer this community in the very near future.

There isn't much more info than the quote above. No final decisions have been made about anything as of yet, but one thing I can promise is we've got the team here still, ready to keep the site up and running as per usual until things are resolved.

Lyankyj activated her DP skill to transform into a temporary Admin to help ease the moderation from the influx of posts. Dalin, Yakuzan, and I are still here moderating as we always have and we're going to do our best to keep the reasons you visit AionSource going strong.

I know some of you are upset and surprised by everything- we all are. The team just wanted to make this post to assure you that we're still here doing our best to keep our favorite Aion fansite strong. I know a lot of new red names can be scary, but rest-assured, the people you know are still at the helm here and we will continue to be as this all plays out.

If you have comments on the things that have happened, there is already a thread running here for them.\

It's been a crazy day that none of us really expected, but we will do everything we can to roll with it and keep AionSource the place we love.

Appreciate the post thank you Knite! We've all been extremely shocked and while it seems the site will never be the same again we'll see after the dust starts to settle and what tomorrow brings. Hugs to the moderation team at this time, you're going to need it. ^_^

He felt a sudden hot breath on the back of his neck. Then the sound of something gnashing together, like two chunks of metal. Or two sets of teeth. A red glow illuminated something behind him. Curseman standing right behind him about to ask to talk on the phone. Get out of here. Anywhere.

The bike.

That was escape. Escape from Curseman and its jaws of death and its eyes that could see everything.

Mark went for a bike ride.

Sucks for Mark to get canned, but when you violate your contract, that's what happens, so... /shrug.

Not saying we all don't want information, and aren't frustrated at a two week wait when it's obviously ready to go, but if you know fire is hot and stick your hands in there anyway, you really going to be shocked when you get burned?

Anyway. Good luck with the damage control, and I'm sure you guys already know, but I wouldn't worry too much about this community getting an overhaul. Maybe the crazy people will leave. Would be nice. (But we know everybody'll stay, given this and the twitters are the best place for info. lol. Ways of the business world, eh?)

You really think NCsoft will give you nyerknyerknyerknyerks anything... ? Alright, I'm not taking any more of this garbage from Curse. Let's clear something up shall we? You make it seem as though Curse has always been working hard on building this community. WRONG! Mark created and built this community from the beginning, up until now. It is absolutely sickening to see Curse attempting to take ANY credit for this community. If you REALLY want what's best for AionSource, you'll give it back to Mark, and disappear into the shadows. The only comfort I will take with me tonight as I leave this forum; I will not be alone.

They hosted it cuz they came to Mark and offered to do it for him. Then they gave themselfs Admin without Mark saying anything and took over.

Being aggravated at Curse for stripping Mark of his power is kind of silly. Mark was a great person, but Curse has more power. There really isn't anything we can do, especially because Mark lost his position because of he broke his contract... It's all fair and legal, I'm afraid.

Now, let's settle down on the anarchy, and PM Mark about making a new site... Or be content with the Source being the way it is, now.

The (American) government has done similar things before. Not children... but in the interest of preserving the massive surgery and pharmaceutical industries, they have stormed houses and stolen research on natural cures for common, and uncommon illness. You can't patent a natural cure... So you can't make money on it. But it'd be so cheap to treat people with, that it would kill the health care system's money-raking process.

I could elaborate, but that'd be off-topic =p.
