I've always used that formula :
Rare The level gap (stone beyond the item) is 5 = 50%, the level gap increase 1 = 5%
Craftman Rare The level gap (stone beyond the item) is 8 = 50%, the level gap increase 1 = 5%
Legend The level gap (stone beyond the item) is 10 = 50%, the level gap increase 1 = 5%
Craftman Legend The level gap (stone beyond the item) is 13 = 50%, the level gap increase 1 = 5%
Unique The level gap (stone beyond the item) is 15 = 50%, the level gap increase 1 = 5%
It works fine except for Fabled Weapons/Armor , so i guess its "... 25 = 50%, the level gap increase 1 = 5%"

Just out of curiousity, are there any changes to this for the new expansion, or is the information still basically correct? Great guide btw
Same for me since i noticed that these days there is this suplement thingy that pops up ,what is it ? sure i grasped the idea of it but a little more detail on it would be very very nice
edit
I did try googling for it but all thoswe guides are old and dont include it

Can someone answer me on this one.
With the guides I have read it should be sufficient with the gears (blue) lv + 15-40 lv (and in some guides add the current lv of enchantment)
So I got the (blue) leather shoes of silver mane tribe that is stated as a lv 1 gear, (though it has the same stats as my lv35 yellow dolan shoes)
Then it should work to enchant with lv 41 stone without problems right?
I tried with 4 lv 37, 2 38 and 2 39 and none of them worked, I also tried 2 lv 40 and 1 41, and the first 40 worked, the first 41 didnt and the second 41 worked so of these 11 stones I have +1
Just alot of bad luck?
Or have I got it all wrong here?
Also I have another question, I have seen gear enchanted with more than +10 ie +11 +12, how is this done?

For blue item you should start with 40+15 (55) level Enchantment Stone and increase it by 1 for every enchantment level of the item i.e. if boots are +1 you use 56, then 57 ... for +10 use 64 level enchantment stone.
Enchanting over +10 is possible only for gold and eternal items, not for blue

Enchantment Stone success rate has been capped to 70% since they introduced supplements(used to be 90%) from +1 to +10. Lesser adds about 7-8% chance, Regular adds about 10-11% and Greater adds about 14-15% chance to the cap.
55 eternal is item level of 80. so Lvl 80 stone have 50% chance. For each lvl above 80, add 5% chance. which makes 84 Stone caps at 70%. So any stone above 84 have no real benefit. I would use any stone to get +1, 84 to +10 then 84 + greater supplements to +15.

Item level stays the same after each enchant! Its been confirmed by the official korean page. And ive said it earlier in several threads, including this one.
How about this? Was posted in another thread and it seems quite solid... I don't know the source though (but it does reflect well the [shugo findings] about supplements).
I think a fabled (gold) item level is 20 higher than it says (e.g. a lvl 50 gold is a lvl 70 item - a 74 stone would be enough to hit the cap, then use supplements for a 78% chance to go).
I think the guide is old
