godstones trigger when u either auto attack or use skills, it goes for both ranged and melee, as well as spells, good example would be a sorc spamming their instant cast spells, if he has that 3880 dmg stone with the rate at 1%, each time he spam his instant cast spells he has 1% chance to rape u and ur entire family ^^
especially because the magic damage from godstone gets boosted by ur magic boost.
and yw Krinadon, all the things i corrected are things i've seen myself in C-Aion, i can show u screen shots too if u wish :)

Thanks for the guide. Will be of great use!
Those Godstones look.. well.. Godly...
Quick question though. Would you find it worth it to enhance any of the gear you acquire or use just through the leveling process or only when you have more so end game gear which you will hold onto for a while at capped level?
Guess it depends on how plentiful the items are that you extract.

I've only seen weapons with 1 slot for a Godstone. Pretty sure it's just 1.

Heyy, uhhmm dude, I has a question. For the damage Godstones-the gold ones-which one do you think would be more beneficial to use? The fire one with 3760 at 1% chance, the earth one at 1880 with 2% chance, the water one thats at 376 with a 10% chance, or the wind one with a 188 with a 20%?
Okay, i was doing some math, and a want your opinion on this (and if its wrong dont flame me, im only in 9th grade :flames:, plus i like being corrected nicely :skip:)
The way I think the Godstones are mapped out in aion is so that they are all supposed to have relevant results. Like if you take the time to wip out a calculator, you can see that based on a 100-hit calculation, this is how its supposed to add up:
Fire Godstone- 1% Chance on hit of 3760
That means that theoretically, every 100 hits you will get a proc and and do an extra 3760 dmg.
Earth Godstone-2% Chance on hit of 1880
That means that theoretically, every 100 hits you will proc 2x, and do an extra 1880x2dmg which =3760 dmg total.
Water Godstone-10% Chance on hit of 376
That would mean that theoretically, every 100 hits you would supposedly proc 10x, and do an extra 376x10dmg which=3760 dmg total.
Wind Godstone-20% Chance on hit of 188
That would mean that theoretically, every 100 hits you would supposedly proc 20x, and do an extra dmg of 188x20 which=3760 dmg.
If you stuck with this post to the end, you could clearly see that in theory, the damage for these Godstones are supposed to be equivalent. Now my question is which one would you benefit more from? IMO I think the faster hitting classes with more DPS like say assassins could try implementing the Fire Godstone or the Earth Godstone, seeing as tho they can easily get it the one hundred hits to proc at least once or twice, and that the slower classes should use a Godstone with more chance of proccing-Wind and Water. I want your opinion. Do you think that the 1% chance Godstones are worth it-even for the faster classes? I believe that it all depends on luck and how much hits you can get in >.>. I will go on AionArmory later tho, to try and calculate what would you would actually benefit more from(im going to use the highest DPS weapon for the assassin class this....well the ones that are posted as the highest by the filter on AionArmory anyway). Ohh and, do you think that maybe it would be more beneficial if even the faster attack classes used the higher chance stones too?
Nevermind about the above test. A sudden realization just hit me that one is unnecessary. In a scenario lets say you hit 90 times. Well that means the fire one with a 1% proc rate is supposed to happen .9 times. Earth is supposed to happen 1.8 times. Water is supposed to proc 9 times. The wind stone is supposed to proc 18 times. In essence the damage output would be the same. -but wait-. You cant actually proc .9 times or 1.8 times, so does that mean it would actually be more beneficial in this scencario to have the wind Godstone that would theoretically proc a straight 18 times? or the water that would proc a straight 9 times? Please give me feedback I MUST KNOW.:sparkles:
Sorry for such a long post! And remember, no flames :flames::angry:

Lol, no reason to flame.
Mathematically, they are all the same. No matter how you look at it or change the scenario, on average, the damage out put will be identical. It really just comes down to preferences. For me, I would prefer the 3760 one simply because when it does proc, whoever I'm fighting just got destroyed. Whereas the 180 is more steady damage over the long course of time.
For your example at the end with the .9, 1.8, etc... it really just comes down to chance. If you swing 10 times and proc the 3760 once... and then the 1880 only once. Well, the 3760 did more. Same thing, and proc the 3760 none... and the 1880 once, the 1880 did more. But on average, they are still the same damage output.
So basically, it comes down to preferences. Typically for something that procs less often, you need a longer span of time for it to average out with something that procs much more frequently. A 1% chance out of 100 swings... that proc could happen on swing 1 or swing 100. Out of 100, it's still the same. Out of 99, it's not. A 20% chance out of 100 swings... you'd be proc'ing every 5 swings, thus probably doing more damage the less you swing.
But like I said, it's really all the same and is dependent on luck. It really comes down to your preference. I'm not sure why NCSoft decided to make Godstones this way, but they did lol. And like I said, as a Gladiator, I'd rather use the 3760. But really, I'd rather the 3760 regardless of what class I'm playing just b/c I'd want those big hits. For PvP, it's easy to adjust to a steady intake of dmg, but hard when damage spikes.

Really really great stuff Krinadon!! This guide is absolutely fantastic. Easy to understand, well written, nicely set up, nothing to complain about!
I`m SO much looking forward to trying these things in-game, when I can finally play Aion, hehe.
I have always loved procs on weapons (Godstones) ever since I tried them first time in EQ. They are great for that pleasant surprise effect and the enemy goes down :pow:
Well anyway, thx for this great guide!!
Best regards,
Pemochan
