Yeesh I guess this shows that grinding in unpopular games is bad for your health. Thankfully Aion will be different, and hopefully change some people's maturity. LOL at the guy with some f2p game's rankings in his sig.

I would hope so if you were a priest. Do you not read? Priests should be hitting it before 1.5 hours easy.

Aww, are you not even provoked? Not one bit? Not enough to go Elyos and come show us up? Come on say that you want to go Elyos and show us up.

I don't get provoked by lil girls, sorry. But if it's a pvp fight you want I will meet you in Abyss. Hell if my Chinese Caion guild are willing to come to the NA servers, which I'm in the middle of pursuading them, we can even all show up together and kick your sorry Hellbound guildy butt.

And you should really stop harrassing me yan, I already told you back in Jan that I wasn't single, and I'm still not single now. Remember my fiancee majoring philosophy in Harvard? well she's changing her major to vet, but you still have a long way to go before being anywhere near her level ;)

Way to pay to play a game I've never heard of. Go and get second at an MLG event for WoW and I'll show you how to play your class. I really didn't want to be rude but there you go.

I was never fond of wow but I was ranked top 3 player of age of empires rise of rome. Which takes 100 times more skill than WoW.

I was assassin, also did it with a glad.

Don't make yourself out to be a ******, I see nothing wrong with your guide I was simply stating my observations.

I actually had a longer grind on my chanter then I did on my assassin.

Don't go assuming this is the first MMO I have ever played or that I have not been able to be in top guilds/clans before.

Be careful when you say stuff like this. I don't want to have to check these statements (even one as unimpressive as this) and be disappointed.

You also might want to be careful in Aion since it's a little more fast paced than AoE, hell even WC3 is. I don't really want to hijack this thread to brag though so you can pm me all your accomplishments and I'll deem you worth of ******bagery if you want to beg for my approval more.

Never played Rise of Rome, but I played AOE 2 and it was a great game. If you are truly a rank 3rd player then you must be very good.

But unfortunately bringing in an RTS achievement into an mmorpg experience contest isn't in the very least relevant.

It's like I brag about my CSS AWP skills when we are comparing who is a better player in Diablo II.

I was the top ranked players in BurgerTime and #4 player in Bump N Jump. Once games started moving to more than 2 buttons, it was all over for me and I had to go into retirement.

I just meant to say that MMOs barely require any skill, and the people who prevail are the ones who put the most effort in their characters and arent braindead.

PvE in general requires time more than skill
Raids (if done well) require strategy
PvP (if it isn't WoW) requires skill

I wouldn't go so far as to say that "MMOs barely require any skills". Sure, it's not as brain intensive as an RTS, and I can also argue that being competitive in an RTS is basically dumped down to memorizing all the stats of the units, the map and the hotkeys with a fast clicking finger.

In this sense, an RTS doesn't seem to requrie much skills either.

Hehe if you think by memorizing units and fast clicking you will beat anyone good luck :P
If they worked like that then there would be no top players since it would be so easy to beat them.

I'm glad you realize it.

The same can be said with MMO. Being higher level and having better equips don't gurantee your victory in pvp either. These are prerequisite conditions towards victory, but not neccessities. Technical skills, strategies are still required. Although whether RTS or MMO requires more technical skills and strategies is a subjective debate, but I'm sure you can name a few RTS where it isn't strategically demanding, for example:

Stalin vs. Martians for PC - Stalin vs. Martians PC Game - Stalin vs. Martians Computer Game

or

Stormrise for PC - Stormrise PC Game - Stormrise Computer Game

Hardcore competitive pong game between two world class players:

On a more serious note,

NES Contra beating the game with no death rush (takes serious skills):

Just watching that vid gives me a childhood nostalgia...........
