that was kept a secret among the judges tho. ah it was fun anyhow! next time i'll just mash my keyboard and enter whatever comes of that for the next contest.
i'm not mad at losing mind you. i'm only mad, somewhat at what i lost to, but mostly at the lack of any useful discription of what was actually going to be judged. there was no mention of humor in the original contest announcment, just to make a (de)motivational, aion-themed poster. and that ended up being very misleading.
sorry for my outburst 2 days ago. congrats to the very lucky winners.
-should probably change the title of this thread to "New AionSource Theme and Motivational-looking but only Humorous Poster Contest Winners"

Your internet list is very hurtful. If only I was mature enough to make a list of people I think are less mature than I am and post it on an internet forum.

Only a few people stated their thoughts in a mature manner.
If you read back you'll see several 'angry' people stating vulgar and unnecessary statements.
yeah dude, I'm this close to suicide because I lost the great contest. did you even bother to read my first replies on this topic? of corse not, but you jumped head-first anyway, all eager and enthusiastic about calling others "criers" and "children", hoping that in this way you'll prove your mature way of judging things and you'll be an internet hero and all. well, guess what, you failed at it, because on this topic nobody is crying about not winning the contest but rather expressing their disappointment about the results. yes, the AS stuff DID explained their chosing procedure and we all accepted the facts but nevertheless, the results disappointed most of us and that was the only opinion generally posted by everybody.
oh, about the hard change of replies that followed Cynic's statemend about us being "sore losers", that's a whole other story and it has nothing to do with the contest, the results and the user's unanimous reaction to those results. unfortunatelly, only us, "children", are able to see that, because all the grown-ups on this topic are busy spamming with "lololol yuo ar criyng becuz yu lost lolol you're childrenz imma ignore you" and with text walls that nobody cares to read and reply to.
anyway, I belive this whole discussion has been carried on far enough. the contest has ended, the posters in Knite's first reply are the winners and no matter if we agree or not with them or with the winning criterias, that's final and we can't do anything about it, so I suggest we leave it like that and carry on with our lives, because I guess (and hope) we all have better things to do than this.

When is everyone, or even a majority, going to like the winners of most contests based off the opinions of a handful of judges? Never going to happen. They tried to make it as fair as they could and even if they didnt honestly I obviously dont have the same humor that the staff has nor do several others here, But Ill tell you what I did have the same humor that alot of people who put posts up do and I laughed my A$$ off for hours while this contest was going on. Is it fun to win something sure, but I already have a KEy to BEta anyway and sure maybe Id have liked another to get a friend interested in the game, but I had a h3ll of alot of fun just looking at what other people came up with.
Sure I can say Oh I could have came up with some WAaaaaY Better winners, but chances are still a ton of people would have thought the stuff I picked wasnt worthy or funny either. The point is I think even most of the people who are upset with the results still likely had at least some fun reading the other contest entries or making their own, so just take it for what you can and leave the rest. GO talk up some good toon builds or quest and intance strats or something worth arguing about and contribute to one another instead of just bash each other over a free contest that gave away something to a small group out TONS of entries. If you could at least have a good laugh at your posts and some of the others as well, so what if you didnt win a copy of a game u likely already own or have on preorder at least.
Do you want to kill someone everytime u dont win one of the GAZILLION free contest entries all over the net handing everything out from hardware, to software to cash. Man they use the stuff for marketing to help promote the game. They figure if they give away a few copies of software and a few keys for BETA they will hopefully generate more hype and sell more games....This stuff has been around forever and will still be around forever, at least this was something you could enjoy doing instead and seeing what others did during the contest instead of the millions of print your name on a 3x5 index card or send us you and your 5 friends email addresses and u might get something gigs that have been around video gaming since its inception.
For real Have fun with the parts you can fun with, understand that not one single persons opinion is ever 100% the same as someone elses and leave the rest for talking/debating about other things to do with the game that will help each other learn and grow as players of a gaming community. Thats why we are ultimately here right!?

Sarcasm was first recorded in English in "The Shepheardes Calender" in 1579.
You've had 400 years to get familiar with it.. But better late than never I guess.

Our CSS skinning guy has been contacted regarding the issue, we made a lot of changes to the forum around the same time this skin change was applied so I suspect some compatibility issues arose with the older coding. The dark skin is a freshly coded skin thus it's not effected.
Hoping to have it resolved in the near future, sorry about the inconvenience =D
