Good idea; I'd like to see some armors!

and thats pretty sexy. :P

Except your upper legs. Bit of junk in the trunk....

I'm currently planning to craft a full set of blue lvl 28 plate. If I end up going through with it I'll definately post it here.
really expensive, though, especially for some armor that I'll only have with 3 levels before replacing it.

Anyhow I'll edit this post with the screenie when/if I get it!

i would tell you but you're asmodian and it wouldent make sense to help you out

lol jk :)

its really really expensive. You will sink ALL of your cash into it. The trick is to allow yourself to turn a profit once you can start crafting gear, then use that money to do more work orders to level up

Actually, if you don't do your own gathering you'll probably end up paying more than you can seel the items for.
It seems that getting your "Extract Vitatlity" level up can pay for just about everything, and you'll pay waaaaay less for the thigns you craft. :P

I will only start crafting once release hits, otherwise it seems like a waste of time to level crafting in a beta where were just testing and the characters will be wiped... That's just my opinion. However that armor looks sexy and your char has a nice @$$ I'd totally hit that... :P

Im leveling my armor crafting as i go in beta just so i can get a feel for how much gathering i need to do. So far farming refining stones near iron deposits seems to take care of its self.

here is shining steel breastplate and helm for asmodians (other parts are not shining steel)

it was my plan to show you all what a full set of shining strengthened steel chain looked like,b ut after todays 12 failures to proc a crit chance on chain greaves im having my doubts that ill be done before beta is over. some people have figured out that crafters need armor refining stones, and that they should charge 5k for them, which means you gotta sell an item for 20-25k just to break even or spend hours gathering the stones yourself....sigh:cry:

Grinding is relaxing. My plan for going glad actualy was so i could aoe farm the lower level stones and make an army of super newbies.

Though im kind of confused here.

I had enough stones for a full suit of level 13 armor at level 13, and by the time i was 16 i had gotten enough to try multiple times to get crits.

Im 18 now and only have 4 lesser armor stones ><

I cant find a good spot to farm them, and im worried about the level 23 armor also.

I guess once you hit 16 (since level 16 mobs is when lesser armor starts dropping i guess) i suppose you should just farm armor stones and do no quests at all, getting enough stones for your armor at 18, and then continue to 20 farming the level 23 craftsman stones, which is somewhat convinient because i guess you are going to be getting some stigmas farming them also.

Anyway, looks like a crafters life is one of farming, even if you are only trying to make for yourself, just the amount of farming im still confused on.

I wish there was a guide on where to farm and generally what levels you should be targeting to enter FARMING MODE for your own armor as you level up.

^if you really want to craft, you really shouldn't be farming specifically for those stones, because it will take you AGES. For a full Craftsman's set, you need at least ~20 Craftsman's _____ Refining Stones, and probably 40-50+ for a blue set if you're lucky. And in my opinion, it's a waste of time crafting anything besides the Craftsman's gear when you're low level.

I'd work with friends and guild mates for the stones or other materials that you need. In return, you can give them your weapons or accessory refining stones that you find.

I dont have any friends, ive eaten them all.

This crafting is actually starting to get me down, got my shining reinforced steel boots now, farming stones for the rest >< The problem is my quests are building up. I wish this game had no quests, then it would be perfect.

Maybe i should give up on my glad and just make a mage who cooks, i bet cooks dont have to worry about crit crafting.

That's what I'm saying.. crafting isn't a solo "project." You'd get bored and frustrated with this game if all you did was try to farm for materials to craft.

I have a couple friends who give me their Aether Crystals/Pieces of High Purity + Craftsman's Armor Refining Stones + some material, and I also extract material (titanium/adamanitum ores) and gather Craftsman's Armor Refining Stones for myself on my higher level character. Even with this help, crafting still takes a bit of time. I find it almost impossible to do this alone.

If you're for sure you want to do this alone, I would level up one character to 30-40+, have a decent amount of Kinah, bring your extract vitality and aether skill to at least 200+, gather Craftsman's Refining Stones as you're farming, leveling, and questing. This would make it 3x easier in crafting for your lower level character.

Money doesn't seem to be the problem since i get lots of other mats i can sell, also while farming i get lots of greens and such.

Really the only problem is there are too many quests and i feel like im getting behind 0_0
