1 templar , 1 chanter , 2 sins ( or more if you got space) .
If sins are on Voice com, they can timer their signets and deal a ridiculous burst of dps.
chanter to heal / buff a lot.
This would be my choice for fast grinding
Maybe a glad with a shield to tank :D

To be frank, though, its not really all that fast compared to just duo-chaining normal mobs. Though it is indeed a way to get a templar into a fast-levelling team :p
The two primary problems are finding a good spot where you dont get overwhelmed by respawn or patrols, as your CC lacks and your healing wont be able to deal with more than 1 mob for most of the levelling process (remember: Chanter healing is good at max, but not that great before) and the problem of competition who are doing group quests/dungeon runs and pass through routinely, which will happen a lot in the beginning weeks as everyone passes through the areas.

definitely what plutonium stated. Sins don't use much mp at all, and can have infinite uptime as long as they have heals. When I was playing on the chinese p2p server and partied with anyone, they were shocked at how fast they'd level with me. Sins can deal incredibly large amounts of damage pretty quick, sorcs will have down time. 1 temp, 1 chanter, and 2 sins is ideal, although if they are very tough elites with ridiculously high damage output, you'll need a cleric as well.

I personally like doing Cleric/Templar/2 assassins/Sorcerer+any other DPS. The reason I like having one Sorcerer is incase things get hairy and some CC can save you.
Having a full party doesn't cost you that much EXP compared to how much faster you'll be killing.
The fastest EXP (and loot) I've ever experienced is in a stacked DPS party doing elites. If you do elites that involve quests the EXP gain is absolutely crazy.
I'd say optimal EXP scenarios (in descending order) from my experience are:
1.) Heavy DPS party (1 healer/tank+4 DPS) grinding on elite quest mobs of similar level.
2.) Chanter+Melee DPS duoing populated slightly lower level mobs.
3.) Two casters duoing slightly higher level, populous mobs.
4.) Cleric+Melee duoing even-to-slightly higher, populous mobs.
After that it's solo EXP and the speed/efficiency is heavily class biased.

Sorcerer doesn't have downtime if you are diligent on using consumables.
It doesn't take much money or effort to stack full of Odella powder for Mana Treatment or Mana over time pots if you are really struggling.
There's food that gives you additional mana regeneration too.
It definitely takes effort to keep your mana supply up though, no doubt.

1 temp,1 glad as backup/OT,1 chanter and a sorc for CC and burst. In a larger group id add a cleric and probably a sin or a SM.
Slappin the bass fast and loose like some kind of delirious, funky priest!
P.S. Give me reps! I want green dots under my name .

Will a balanced 4 man group say Templar, Cleric and 2 of Sorc, SM or ranger be best off grinding elites? Would they be able to grind same level elites or slightly lower or slightly higher?
Thank you
Thank you
1 Templar
1 Cleric
1 Sorc
1 Assassin
Best killing combo

This is a bit of a derail, but are sub-optimal duos are worse than soloing? 2xMDPS, healer/RDPS, etc.?
Been having a hell of a lot more fun with duo grinds on the Chinese servers than I probably ever will in another solo questing game, so I really hope that playstyle sticks around in NA release.
