Do you like to gank?
Consider the assassin class. (think this video is of an assassin from level 34-41 but not sure exactly)
He was killing people around the same level (30s based on area)

Atleast they don't go up to you, stunlock you for 10 seconds, kill you, then vanish. >_<
Do. Not. ENTER.
I appreciate down reps. :)

A lot of those opponents couldn't do anything. First stun and then the skill which lifts you in the air, which is basically a stun.

it's really interesting............
At least Assassins have the option to solo pvp and still survive well (if stealth is used well)

Minimum effort maximum reward like rogue classes in most MMOs. Nothing really shocking about this. Every MMO needs a class for beginners.

You need some resourcefulness to locate these places, mind you :)

And good timing to use the stealth and potting

As for the skills, well, you need to execute the combo well and pick the right class to gank

A few years ago, people would have rather killed themselves than openly admit that they ganked... It was disagraceful, a nasty word shunned by the populace along with the people who did it...

That can be said about every game, but i won't disagree. Just that it's a given thing.

So in other words, you hide in stealth and pickk on AFK people with low health, then run away? This is known as griefing in any other game, only MMO's reward this kind of behaviour. And sorry to be blunt but I have played a lot of MMO's and MMO's do not require nearly as much skills as other genres such as FPS or RTS, its mostly time spent getting your gear and using a lot of potions and items.

What I saw in that video is an Assassin griefing a bunch of people then running away, no skill really involved because the other people weren't really given much chance to react cause most were afk or minding their business. But Assassins can keep deluding themselves that their minimum effort, maximum reward Class is highly skill dependent.

can you tell me what will your definition of "involving skills" be like?
timing your skills against your opponent's moves?

isn't it smarter and more skillful not to allow the opponent to make any moves then????? like this stunning+airlock

So I guess timing your skills when the opponent is talking to the store clerk is considered skill, or attacking someone while they're on a mob, or someone who is stalling, I guess this is all precise timing (not like you get all the time in the world during stealth). Its all good when someone can fight back, but this video shows the guy attacking people who are AFK/Stalling/Talking to an NPC. This "Skill" is nothing more than the coward seeing the cheapest opportunity to strike nothing more, real skill not included in that video.

Pressing 2 buttons to stunlock does not a skilled player make.

I guess you are right.
However I don't think that's a smart way to pvp in Aion as an assassin because they are pretty squishy to fight someone 1on1
I consider this Assassin as a skillful one because he's using everything to his advantage and minimizing his weaknesses.........
But I'm against griefing newbs.....

Strategic cultures differ.

Yes, this in many is considered skill, the skill to choose the proper opponent at the right time in the right place.

This is a PvP game with PvP specific areas. If you are in these areas you should know your a target and fair game. Personally I think it takes great skill and confidence to go into a grp of enemies and start attacking classes you can take out and make it out alive. Attacking someone while at a shopkeeper...not so much, but its the game mechanics. Dont hate the player, hate the game

Ganking soft targets withing a group of over a half-dozen and managing to run and survive requires ALOT of skill, timing your evasion/resist skills and bookin' it away.

That entire video was just for laughs, and easy Abyss points.
