Thanks so much! This was very helpful, and it actually answered all the questions I had.

Excellent job!
But you don't like it - you love it.

Glad to see that you did a good job on the guide Fatal, and did the debate about Elyos versus Asmodian Assassin ever actually happen? And by that, I mean the racial based abilities.

From what I remember, there was a small debate. Nontheless Raid Posture does exactly as described, meaning not boosting skill damage. Alert Posture and the last lvl 50 Elyos skill are so much better than Asmo's it's not even funny.

Hi Fatal,

Here's one of these questions i didn't dare to post in the first place, but you might add the answer to the FAQ ;)

As the skill description isn't very clear about it, what's the difference between
Aion Armory Spell,
Aion Armory Spell and
Aion Armory Spell
exept that you use more poison to imbue the weapons?

Would also like to know the answer on that.

Great guide btw. Will certainly use it alot in my assassin carreer.

Although not sure, it would be logical to assume the dmg increases as we use more igredients.

So AP III might as well do 2x more dmg than AP I.

Hi!

Am I the only one, who can't see half of the tooltips in the guide and in all of your responses?
Instead of the typical tooltip, it just says "Aion Spell". Am I doing something wrong..? :s

Elyos make much better Assassin's because their special abilities is a silence compared to a life leech rune explosion and another Aethertwisting compared to a useless 100%+ Physical Attack modifier increase *Not 100% damage, 100% increase in your +Attack stat* for 10s,
Elyos Aethertwisting also reduce your P Attack by 50%, but then again, P Attack is just crap since it scales so badly with Sin's heavy hitting attacks like Weakening Blow and Suprise Attack.

UPDATE: No idea wtf is up with the spell tooltips right now. I swapped it out for just text links (you can hover over and just like a tooltip, just without the image portion).

Lots of people messaged me on AIM about it so hope that helps a bit.

Yes, I'm still taking a hiatus from Aion.

No, I can't give the exact date I'll be back.

Barring any massive in game updates, or strange errors on this site, don't expect any significant changes of the FAQ til I am back gaming full time.

GL all and I hope Aion is going well for everyone ;).

Very nice FAQ. I've only recently started playing an Assassin, and I'm really liking the quick kill (very different from my SM), and I'm liking the playstyle.

The only thing that I'm not sure of is weapons. I know you said use the best available and generally go for dagger-sword (main-offhand) at lower levels, but when does that change to dagger-dagger? Is it even viable to have dagger-dagger?

The jump from D/S is to S/S not to D/D.

You jump to S/S when you reach the crit soft cap (around 440).

I sometimes hear that the soft cap for crit is 440, not 460. Which one is it? Also Hard Cap hasn't been determined yet right?

I'd like to add/nominate this as a nice title to have for Asmos "Slayer of Mabangtah" (+8 Accuracy, +6 Evasion, +2% Atk Speed) received from the quest [Spy/Group] Killing Mabangtah
