I still say orbs look better if I ever get a dragon weap and have to choose between the orb or book. Orb all the way. That lil dragon is awesome!

Is there , will there be an Orb that you can stone that will make up for the accuracy so the higher damage is still there?
Visa versa for the book? More damage stoned for higher damage to equal the orb output?

Do you think there will be a possibility to duel wield both?

Lol Orb in 1 hand and book on other? Sounds sweet. I'd rather duel wield 2 orbs. Now THAT with +1k M. Acc Stigma would be like 2-3 shot everyone :sparkles:

Two orbs actually sounds like a good idea! I wouldn't mind them implimenting that along the way. But the stats for having two would have to be cut :s a bit op imo lol

both - orb for pve mostly and when you cap possible and dont need maccuracy
i use book for pvp currently cause of level differences but at 50 it may be difference idk havent experianced end game

Most of you make very valid points, but there is one thing that no one has fully picked up on yet.

When a sorcerer opts for a lower magical accuracy, he is not only crippling his ability to deal damage consistently, he is also crippling his ability to successfully kite and crowd control. These aspects are all a part of being a good sorcerer. I'm not saying that those who equip orbs are any less than a spellbook user. I'm simply stating that undermining magical accuracy means undermining damage AND CC. Our offense and defense are thus diminished, leaving our success to chance. I'll personally roll spellbook.

Hmm well at the moment I use a orb but reading this thread has made me wanna test and see how much lower my dmg is when I use a book and same with acc. But so far I have had little problems of my CC or skills missing in either pve or pvp does suck when tree misses but then again that's when sleep and root come in =P. I'll test it on c-aion tomorrow I guess.

Yea, what AVG said. And if you look at the way that Ranger laid out his words, it's not a helpful input. Against Rangers, it comes to a battle of whose burst is stronger. Telling us to carry book is to tell us to nerf ourselves when we see a Ranger in PvP.

I admit was being a bit biased when I said Ranger, but that's only cuz I don't remember his name and I didn't feel it was worth my time to click Back and scroll up the page again.

m.res is not avaiable until level 30 so 30- you will be fine with orb, but come m.res 30 + you should cary a book just in case you notice magic res set.
